Van Dongen's

It's a very nice and big nursery with lots of plans and trees in stock. It's bigger. I haven't been to many nursery. I always go to this and one other in the area for all my plant needs. I am not sure if Can Dongen's have sale. It's always a good idea to compare prices and then buy. No issues with quality of plants they sell. Definitely recommend.

Update: Michael Van Dongen reached out to me to emphasize that his company totally stands behind the quality of their products. VD offers a large variety of plants and friendly, helpful staff. However, I would caution anyone considering a big ticket purchase. While Van Dongen offers a 5 year warranty on trees, and a “no questions asked” return policy, the resultant store credit is severely constrained. One is a) limited to purchasing nursery stock; and b) THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON ANY PLANTS PURCHASED" with the store credit. So if you are a conscientious gardener

Van Dongen's has been one of my go-to garden centres. All my plants have flourished and I have had no issues at all. However, two years ago, I bought some plants and they didn't do too well. Fortunately, Van Dongen's offered a guarantee for these plants.Most importantly, I had the good fortune of dealing with an amazing employee called Cheyenne. I have been in touch with her about the condition of the plants and received professional, responsive and prompt advice from her. Finally I had to return the plants yesterday and once again, I received great service from Cheyenne: she went above and beyond to help me with the refund and replacements. A big thank you to Cheyenne and the team at Van Dongen's, including Kyle, who patiently helped me choose my plants.

Horrible products. Hanging basket died in a week of purchasing and they offer no warranty on annuals and put the blame back on you for not watering enough. Terra much better a km away. Stay away from this place.

Going through Van Dongen's will be the best choice you've made for your garden. We used their design services for our backyard project and they have far exceeded our expectations.The variety, knowledge, and customer service by all their staff are second to none.

Huge huge huge selection of all things garden! Price is reasonable. Selection is great. Bought a beautiful (cabbage? Lettuce?) tea set for $50 and I am totally loving it. But I digress. The nursery has a great selection of indoor and outdoor plants as well as artificial flowers, wreaths, garden decor, benches, gnomes, fountains etc. The staff is super sweet. Entry is handicap accessible but I believe the lower floor has only staircase access. I loved almost everything.Must visit the place for yourself. Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. We purchased some cedars and had them deliver, plant and mulch the trees. The whole experience was positive, and we are very grateful! Highly recommend.

VanDongen’s was a pleasure to work with in replacing our 40 year old overgrown cedar hedge. Andre was very informative and helpful in the planning process. When it came to planting day, Terry and his 2 crew mates worked so hard and their dedication to doing the planting correctly and to my satisfaction was truly appreciated.

Great collection of garden decorations available. Not too many varieties of plants to get in the second week of April, but can expect a lot in a couple of weeks as informed by the very well-behaved associates. I'll give a star less as the garden center is a bit pricey compared to the competition around.

Amazing place with professional and patient staff. Jonathan listened, made suggestions and helped me based on what I was describing to him. We picked out 7 trees and various plants for my backyard. Liam, Jacob and Ibrahim delivered everything on the scheduled day. They were true professionals and made sure everything was done properly from start to finish.
