Wonderful people, Great accommodations, good food, and there is no other place where I want to fish. Now if only the border would be open. My family is suffering withdrawal!

Wonderfully peaceful, relaxing vacation. We chose the meal package and we were not disappointed. The menu each day was awesome as was the food. We had plant to eat. The staff were excellent, and were so flexible and accommodating to our needs. They have us lots of suggestions of where to visit and things to see in the area and the resort. Helped with things we were not sure of and genuinely made our 7 day stay one of the best holidays we've had. ❤️

Excellent experience staying at the Loughborough Inn. First we stayed in the Bayview cabin and thought that was awesome. The next week we stayed in the leeds cabin and was completely blown away by there luxurious square log cabins. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who talks about wanting to rent a cabin

I have never written a bad review, this is my first one; that's how bad my experience was. Before I booked, I spoke with Ted, the manager, to see if they could accommodate a gluten-free diet, since the meal plan was already included with the luxury cabins. He confirmed with the Chef & advised me that they could indeed provide gluten-free meals so I went ahead and booked a luxury cabin. When I arrived I introduced myself to the manager and advised him I was the person who had requested the gluten-free diet. His response was: “I would not have recognized your voice”. Right there, that should have raised a red flag. Fast forward ... there was a pre-set menu for each meal with 3 different options for each 3 course meal. I advised the server I had made arrangements for gluten-free meals and her response was: “Oh! I don't know”. I asked her to check with the Chef to see what I could eat. The first option on the menu was gluten-free. I slowly found out as the meals went by that they did not provide gluten-free options. No substitutes . Solution - remove the items that have gluten and eat the rest. Lunch was burgers, sandwiches and wraps which I pointed out to my server, all contained gluten. It seemed she wasn't even quite sure what gluten was. After I explained, she suggested I have the burger without the bun, which I had because I was starving! The burger patty was 1/4 inch thick with 1 piece of iceberg lettuce, an unripened slice of tomato and 3 red onion slices. Meanwhile all the other guests were enjoying 3-course meals especially for dinner. Prime rib, sirloin steak, etc followed by decadent desserts, which i could not eat. By the following day I was fed up as breakfast and lunch menu remained the same. I actually looked for and found a gluten-free bakery (not an easy task when you are in the woods) and drove out to purchase some food to bring back to the kitchen for the Chef to cook for me. That day I drove to Kingston (40 mins) to eat lunch to ensure I would have a good meal. I now produced the kitchen with gluten-free bread for my breakfast and a gluten-free bun for my lunch and I started making up my own menu. I finally spoke with the dinner Chef, Tracy-Ann, who to my surprise told me the manager had never advised her that I was here and requested a gluten-free diet and that she would have a word with him the following day. Unbelievable. I never saw Ted after I checked in.Other issues I had were with the jet bathtub in the cabin, which is one of the reasons I booked that to begin with. I could not access the menu on the tub to start the jets and advised reception of this. Then the jets started randomly and i had to run to the bathroom to turn them off. They were never fixed. Also the coffee maker in the cabin was in a deplorable state. The heating element was all rusted out. Time to check out and when the receptionist asked how my stay was I told her very disappointing and absolutely frustrating. I proceeded to tell her that I had made prior arrangements for gluten-free and dairy-free meals with Ted, who was standing beside her, and had received a confirmation that you could accommodate me while looking directly at the manager and he nodded in agreement. I explained in details what had transpired and how little I had eaten and that I had to resort to buying my own supplies for the Chef since she did not know I was coming and did not have any ingredients or substitutes for me. And I also mentioned the tub. She apologized several times but Ted just stood there with a blank look on his face and had nothing to say and did not offer a single apology even after I told him that the Chef was not aware of me coming nor of my request; neither did he offer a credit, or discount or anything at all. I was simply presented with the invoice at full price. $1200. for 3 days! Unbelievable. Absolutely unprofessional. I will never go back to Loughborough Inn nor would I recommend this place. As a long time guest commented to me: 'This is the perfect way to run a place with minimal upkeep and charge the most money!”

Visited Loughborough Inn last weekend. It will definitely not be my last time there! From the first person I met there (Liam, at the marina), to the last staff member I spoke with (the chef...I forgot her name), my entire experience there was nothing less than superb. All the staff members seem to really have been genuinely concerned about my comfort and well-being. They all appeared so selfless, willing to accommodate guests in any practical manner. The fishing on the Lake even cooperated with my stay. The fishing was enjoyable, and quite productive, as fishing goes. I hooked into dozens of largemouth bass, a few smallmouth, also. Then, there were a few pike on the line, too.Enough complimentary comments cannot be said about the persons at the front desk. The same goes for the majority of the servers. My only negative comment pertains to 1 server in the dining hall. She seemed to have forgotten that I was even there. I actually had to ask a different server to find her for me. My original server had left me for at least 25 minutes, without checking to see if I needed anything else (which I did). I brought this fact to her attention...once she did show up again. But, the excellent experience farrr outweighed the negative. For example, 1 morning I showed up for breakfast and asked my server (not the same one I had before) if there were any advil, etc. available. She politely answered no"

We just returned from an amazing experience at Loughborough Inn. Mark was just awesome answering any questions we had and going that extra mile for my fiancee and I thank you Mark! This has to be one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. The cabin was incredible! The location is perfect with Kingston only 20 mins away. I miss it already!Tara&Christopher

Awesome place. Really friendly staff, beautiful location. Accommodations are good for whatever you happen to be looking for. The small lakeside cabins are great for when you want to spend most of your day on the lake. The larger ones further back are nicer for those that want more amenities. The food is very good. The staff, however, is amazing. They make you feel like you're part of the family.
