I have nothing but nice things to say about the Perth Vet. We chose to move to them after moving and getting a new dog last year. We also have chickens so we wanted somewhere that could see both and they have been so thorough and accomodating. They've been great for regularly scheduled appointments as well as last minute calls. We are lucky to have them considering the state of other clinics and crazy wait times/vet shortages.

I've waited a long time to post this review, maybe because I was so shocked by the treatment I received at the time I couldn't think what to do. But it's still bothering me after all this time, so here I am. For years we lived in Perth and would always take our many cats to this vet. We never had a problem and were super loyal. We spent thousands just immunizing and fixing all of our cats. We brought them there for everything. We loved it and were always happy and treated with kindness.A few years ago during the pandemic we moved about 8 hours away. Up North in Ontario. During that time, I think a new front desk person was hired. I'd certainly never encountered her before. One of the cats we had brought there for care desperately needed medication for an eye infection. In our new town, no vet would take any new patients- we were stuck. Out where we live, the nearest emergency clinic is 2.5+ hours away, and costs 400 just for an emergency visit, just to be seen, before whatever your treatment costs. As we hadn't even been moved even a full year at the time, of course we called our trusted vet. They had previously sent a prescription here for one of our other cats (they wouldn't see our cats here in our new town but would at least fill the prescription sent from Perth Vet.) However, this time, the new and very mean-spirited lady at the front desk immediately decided she didn't like and wouldn't help me. Worse, she decided she'd be really gross and rude to me for reasons I could not tell you nor imagine. She made a super hurtful comment which accused me of not taking good care of my sweet kitten. I started to cry. That made her decide to pretend she'd ask if they could send a script to our current town, which I knew was 100% not going to happen. She pretended, and of course phrased the question in a way that would uphold the decision she had already made to tell me to go pound salt, then made an excuse about why they wouldn't do it. She probably didn't even tell the other staff who the request was for- which I believe would have been enough info for them to decide to help me.That was it- no help for our babies during the pandemic. After so many years, so many cats and so much investment in the business, we were S.O.L. I kind of never got over it, and here I am writing a review like a year or two later. In conclusion- one bad apple can spoil the bunch just when you really need them. You might get wonderful, compassionate staff at Perth vet, but you might also deal with this woman and get accused of not taking good enough care of the precious animals you've dedicated your life to, and left out to dry, ironically meaning that very cat you've been accused of not caring for suffers longer and more, a pretty vicious-seeming irony, which is what happened to me. That's my piece and I've said it now, so maybe I can finally start to feel better about this! Sorry to the nice members of staff who were always wonderful to me, but one person can do more damage than you think. Every face at your front desk is the face of your company.EDIT: We have now moved to a new town with adequate vet care. When the new vet reached out for the files on our cats, they denied having them. Again- they were vaccinated and spayed at the site, and went there for multiple medical issues. Not great.

We had to bring our dog Bear for an ultrasound to confirm possible cancer of the spleen. They were so kind and accomodating to us. Truly a compassionate place for animals. Unfortunately it was a sad day for us as the prognosis was not good. We said good-bye to our gentle giant today. The staff at the Perth clinic were amazing and also the technician who was with us the day before in Westport vet. Truly a great place. Thank you all for your kind words and very private time you gave us with our Bear.

Dropped off 2 injured turtles and the service I received was incredible. I wish I remembered the assistant's name.

Our recent visit to the vet has left a bad taste in our mouth. The staff was very friendly- but it was the wait time. We arrived at the scheduled time and waited an extra 20 minutes. Our dog is very nervous to begin with in new places, so the increased waiting didn't help. The vet was very good with our dog and the blood work was completed. It was very expensive and we were promised to receive it in 3 days. We could have gotten it that day for an extra $100! There was no way we were paying that- and since it was only 3 days, we decided to wait. A week later and the results were still not given to us. We called multiple times, and were promised a phone call later that day with the results. Day after day we were told the same thing, and the results never came. We called once more and we were informed the results were in but the vet was away. Overall a very frustrating, unprofessional, and expensive experience. Not fair to make a potentially sick animal wait.

We have a farm and many animals. So far the service has been great. It does take time to get appointments. Book in advance of your pet's vaccine due dates.

My dog Savvy had been attacked. Blueberry creek vet took her in immediately with so much compassion. I tried to take her to the Perth vet where she always goes and they rudely told us to go to Ottawa. Highly recommend Blueberry for their professionalism and compassion. Just WOWED me. Amazing staff at Blueberry!
