0/10 Would recommend. The gaslighting by the pastor & Co screams narcissist. You had one chance to make thing right. You failed. Miserably.

I have a long standing history (as do many) with this community. It started out being filled with legalism, fear, shame, guilt, confusion, coercion, manipulation and heartbreak. But over the last 8 years has brought me healing, acceptance, a chance to be myself without condemnation and a chance to find myself in whom my Heavenly Father says I am. Having grown up in a sister church in another province (when this one was formerly known as SCC ) that carried and copied a lot of Johnson Sr’s formats and formulas on Home/church and school. I would be remiss if I did not tell you dear reader that the environment was very cult-like. I did leave in my early 20’s. And the year following was the worst and hardest of my life….…let’s fast forward tho…In 2015 I had heard that Brien had taken over after his father retired. A year or so later, Through a friend I had back in Saskatoon (I was overseas at this time) she guided me to one of his messages given on a Sunday, that shook me to my very core. It was a message I never thought I would ever hear. I had started to live my life as though I would never receive and apology for what they did to me. That no one knew what happened and that no one cared. But in that message it was as if he was speaking to me directly. As far away as I was I could feel God’s hands through Brien reaching out to me, and people of the past who were hurt and jilted by the former regime. I was in the field working, I collapsed between the rows of baby trees and cried. I don’t think the podcast had even ended before I started to message him and thank him for saying what he did. His message was brave, bold and filled with compassion. It was the first time I had ever heard anyone speak out against the fear, abuse, manipulation, hypocrisy (too many sins to name) that governed a community of people for so long. At the end he encouraged people who had been hurt to come forward, to have a conversation and be heard. An offer he extended to me should I ever step foot back in Canada. In fall 2018 I did go back to Canada not for the apology, but for family reasons. I was informed that should I cross over to Toon Town for a visit (if I was willing) he’d like to meet. I believed that for my own healing and growth it was a thing I needed to do. So after a visit in the City of Bridges, and many conversations with Brien and his lovely wife Andrea…fast forward…I have been attending since May 2019.Lots has happened to me in the last 5 years that have nothing to do with this review. However, I’d like to make a final statement. There are not enough stars on Google to give this community and its leaders. From what it USED to be and what it IS now is vastly different. If it was the same or similar in spirit, format, or attitude I would not be here. I have given up going to church while travelling if I could not find a community lead by a leader or leaders who shared my faith/vision and attitude of who God is, and Whom I know HIM to be. I refuse …REFUSE to go back to the way things were. This community is where I feel the most safe to be myself, and for that reason it has my stamp of approval. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Brien is awesome. I always look forward to him preaching every Sunday as his messages are always heartfelt but also make you think. Gives me such a boost for the week ahead.

I went to this church in the late 1990s (when it was known as 'Saskatoon Christian Centre'), and it wasn't a good place. I felt abused and ostracised from the leaders. I hope it's better now.

This place is amazing. Every weekend it's like I get to go to a concert and there's just these amazing people there. The music is sometimes so powerful it makes me want to cry. We needed community and found it here, and my son is so lucky to be able to play in daycare while I enjoy the service. Theres no pressure to believe a certain way or act a certain way. The sermons are intellectually stimulating and spiritually satisfying. The volunteers are so dedicated. Best church ever!

Walking in the doors of Mile Two feels like home. You’re greeted at the door by friendly faces and people here seem to genuinely care about you. I’ve never felt more at home at a church or been happier with the lessons I’ve learned.

This church and its leaders have never taken responsibility for the harm they have caused family after family after family over many years. There are so many stories, so much hurt.

This would be a blessed place....if it wasn't for ALL the distractions....SO many people on cell phones and talking ...it is hard to hear the good word of the lord from our pastor Brien...i have been coming here for almost two years and this is the main problem i struggle with coming all the time!!!...Dear Pastor Brien....if you have read this please take note to inform people before the sermon to turn off phones and take any conversation to the lobby...i hate having my sundays interferred....thank you for reading this.

Lots could be said here. Many years of abusive behaviour from leaders that are still there (some gone to other ministries). Also many years of coverups and secrets. Big secrets. It would seem very few lessons have truly been learned. When my family was excommunicated it took years of therapy to recover from the spiritual abuse and barrage of lies that followed our exit. It's a shiny attractive place. The music will give you the feels and you'll think it's the anointing". They will love bomb you as a cult does. You'll have numerous volunteer opportunities that make you feel productive and a part of something bigger. Soon you'll be deep into the doctrine and culture giving excuses for behaviour that is not normal and claiming it's God. Proceed with caution."
