I own a painting of my grandparents home and it has sentimental value to my cousins and myself. I contacted Art Galia about having a different canvas stretched and while there, I told Alicia about the family painting. She suggested I bring it in. The painting had been in a restaurant at a time when smoking was allowed and it had also survived a fire relatively unscathed. Alicia knew all of this. She also knew it needed some TLC and cleaning before being reframed. Alicia took on the challenge and kept me informed during each step of the process. She cleaned the painting so that I can now see colours I didn’t even know were there. She completed two repairs and framed it up for me and it’s beautiful! Alicia understood the sentimental value of my painting and she handled it with the utmost care and was always very professional. I would recommend Art Galia to anyone and everyone needing services for their artwork. I know I will be back!

We brought a framed print to have the glass changed because we didn't like the original reflective glass. Our work was completed in record time. The price was excellent, and we were given very valuable advice on hanging our artwork safely. Alicia was friendly, knowledgeable and did not rush us into making our choices, but explained the processes and the differences in the type of glass that we could select from to guard our print. We are very pleased with this business, and certainly plan to bring other art there to be framed. Highly recommended.

Both of my kids took art lessons with Alicia and now ten years later I am the student. Alicia's passion for her students is purely extraordinary. She teaches her kids to grow and thrive with their creativity, not a preconceived idea of what she feels their art should be. My son at the time he started her class was having difficulty in school and felt down about himself. Alicia tells every child that walks through that door that they are exceptional and can accomplish anything. She gave him confidence and a belief in himself at a critically young age. He is now an amazing confident 17 year old. Alicia is a phenomenal artist and has infinite skills and experience to teach art. BUT she also has the unbelievable gift to know when one of her students need a bit of watering to their souls, to flourish and become the individual and wonderful people they are meant to be.

Art Galia is a welcoming community and Alicia has a genuine and deep care for the individuals that come into her space. I took classes here for many years. Her guidance when I was younger created the groundwork that my art stands on today.

My daughter is 12 and this was her first art camp. She absolutely loved it!!! Always enthusiastic when she would come home and share some new techniques she had learned, she really thought the art teacher Alicia was great and was so proud of the pieces she produced. She really wants to continue with more classes at Art Galia, and we're hoping for a weekly class if available. I would highly recommend to anyone with a child that loves art!

Having newly moved into the area i am happy to have access to a master in the craft of framing and all things art. I had an old piece that was my husband's grandmothers. More of a sentimental piece than anything of value, I was on the fence on getting it fixed after a big move and some rough handling. The owner took the time to detail their diagnosis of it's delicate state. Their wisdom and knowledge is outstanding. The work that was applied to save my piece has given it new life. Also, reinforced it to be nowhere near as delicate, so I now have confidence in hanging on the wall around my rambunctious family haha. I am very lucky to come across this place on a whim. Alicia is amazing!

This place is amazing! My daughter did an art camp at art galia and for the first time in her life she enjoyed an extra-curricular activity. Thank you to the teachers for inspiring her so much, she keeps asking to go back and I look forward to registering her for more classes.
