Chili Pepper House
This is my first time to eat in a Hakka Chinese-Indian restaurant here in Vancouver. I like their fish pakora & house style paneer - very flavorful. Prices are also reasonable.I highly appreciate their service. When I accidentally left my bag (containing food items) under my seat, they even kept it in their refrigerator and called to inform me that I had left something in their restaurant. Excellent service indeed!

Wanted to try Indo-Chinese food at a place other than Green Lettuce so came here after reading some of the reviews..Ordered Chicken Corn Soup (4**** for hot out of 5) which was very tasty, had lots of corn and diced chicken pieces. Did add some soy sauce, salt and vinegar green chillies to boost the flavor..Also ordered Chili Chicken and White Rice. The Chicken was crispy but the sauce was a little too dark and bland even after asking for 4 ****The ambience was comfortable enough..The Server was a SUPER kind lady who was very attentive and polite…May come back here to try a few more items like Chow-Mein and Pepper Fish..Overall a decent experience(Pro-Tip that might irritate the owners - if You leave a tip, it does not go to the servers, the owners take it, which is utterly sad)

We were visiting from Toronto and by luck found this amazing place. The food was delicious. Best halal chinese food I have ever had, honey garlic chicken wings were out of this world. The service was ex excellent. If you are in the area please pay them a visit. Loved it.

We ordered 7 different dishes and they all tasted bland except for the fried rice. Not sure what is missing but it surely doesn’t taste flavorful. Service was a bit slow but friendly and nice.

Absolutely delicious, every dish is great. Always so packed and for good reason. A very unique fusion cuisine that is best to have with a larger group so you can try as many dishes as possible. Happy everytime we get it.

We decided to try Chili Pepper House for dinner because we wanted to try Asian Indian fused food. So we were expecting dishes packed with flavor from the spices. Place was clean and service a bit slow. But the staff was very friendly.We ordered the Veggie Pakora and Chutney Sauce. It was delicious. We also ordered the butter chicken. The sauce was red and tasted no way near what butter chicken should taste like. My sons, who love butter chicken didn't finish their plate. We also ordered Curry Fish and Curry Egg Plant. The Curry was disappointing. There was no spices no flavor. The Curry was definitely not Indian and not Chinese either. It was just bland. Don't recommend the Curry Dishes.We also ordered the Seafood Fried Rice which was good. Because my sons were hungry still I also ordered Beef Tomato with Egg. Dish was good. If they added some sugar to offset the sour taste from the tomatoes, dish would have been very good.The food definitely tasted different from the last time we ate here which was over 5 plus years ago. Food than had lots of flavourful and spices.Maybe there other dishes that others commented about are worth the visit. If we do come back (we like to support local eateries) we'll stay away from the curry dishes.

Very poor experience dinning at this restaurant. The food, service and the atmosphere of the place were all very bad and everything is overpriced!!We were seated and the server came to take the order. That was the only time someone came to the table. We ordered a portion of paneer chilli dry, manhurian balls with sauce and Hakka vegetarian chow mein.To start of with the food is off very poor standard, paneer chilli had a burnt taste, hakka chow mein were dripping in oil and the manchurian balls were just kept in plate and topped off with sauce.They served the Hakka noodles and manchurian sauce was served after about 15mins and asking twice for it.Lastly, we just sat there looking around the place for about 15 20 mins, hoping someone would stop by to ask how the food was and we could request for the check. Finally I had to walk up to the desk and ask for the check which they have after another 10mins. Never going back and would not recommend to anyone!

Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for good Indian-Chinese food.The food is absolutely amazing !! But bit oily though.Prices are very reasonable with decent portion size. All in all, it's a great place for a quick and affordable meal. I would recommend to take out as place to dine is small and feels crowded.

Nice and spacious place. Ambience and lighting is really good. No strong smell in restaurants. Vegetarians can certainly visit. They say that they have separate fryers for Veg and Non veg stuff. I had ordered Veg Manchurian with separate sauce so that balls do not soak gravy when reach home. 10 big Manchurian balls with a bowl of gravy/ sauce. Size of Manchurian balls is too big and full of vegetables. I prepared some more sauce and could use only 5 balls. Worth trying. Hakka Noodles were ok ok. Really dark and less vegetables. Next time I am going to ask for light / less soy sauce and add more vegetables. They give small containers of Vinegar and Chili oil. Worth visiting place.

A fusion of Indian-Chinese cuisineWent there for lunch with my friend… had the lunch special menu which is available on weekdays I believe. The lunch menu selection is wide, lots of options from rice to noodles, it also includes a pop for the lunch special.I ordered the fish curry & my friend ordered the sweet & sour fried shrimp. My curry had a hint of spice, the fish was good.Parking is plentiful along the street at Rupert & dome parking spaces in that small mall.Owner, Cheryl is very friendly.Check them out.
