Discount Optical

Experience here was horrific. Firstly, they charge way more than other places for a “discount” place and at this point I’m convinced that they’re borderline scammers. They refused to tell me how much my frames cost in the end and different staff gave me different amounts when I asked. They wouldn’t provide a receipt when I picked them up and ended up charging my insurance far more than they said it would cost initially when I ordered them. Went in telling them I wanted a contact fitting and didn’t even get one and they didn’t give a proper explanation for why, but it seems like they just wanted me to come back and repay the full price again. They wouldn’t give me the full results of the overpriced eye exam, were rude and aggressive in giving the exam. They kept pressing my chin into the plastic part that holds it instead of just adjusting it to fit my face, to the point that I was in agonizing pain. Later that day my chin swelled up double in size and started leaking yellow pus exactly where they were pressing it in. Now I’m scared of potentially receiving some kind of infection and that the equipment isn’t sterilized properly. I’m going to have to go to a new place and pay out of pocket for a proper fitting and exam since they used up my entire insurance coverage.

With a name like Discount Optical you would think that they are priced under $500 or even $200 but you would be sadly mistaken. There is also the smell of something dead emitting from the store.The customer service was subpar at best. The man answered me like I was begging and I did not feel like it was someplace I wanted to spend money to replace my glasses.If you want to spent the same price as everywhere else then don’t be fooled with these reviews and a name that entices you into believing they are affordable. … Just No!!

I'm visiting from Scotland and forgot my contact lenses (I don't use them all the time). I came in and told him I needed some to last me three weeks and the owner pulled out a pair with some solution and gave me them on the house. Incredibly kind gesture, and one which I hope I can pay forward by leaving a nice review and encouraging others to give their patronage to a good and honest business. He could have made a quick buck from me but he didn't. Highly recommend you show this place some love.

Great service and a variety of different brands and styles at a reasonable price. I was able to complete my eye exam and choose out new glasses on the same day. Highly recommend Discount Optical for all your optical needs.

Worst optical experience ever. Staff lacks basic customer service skills. Stock is dusty, dated, and out of style. Prices do not reflect the value of the products. Do not recommend this dump. Don’t waste your money or your time.

After numerous attempts to go in person to get a pair of reading glasses, it ended up that I had to send a friend with my PX and a frame. The lenses were made within an hour and, despite a history of having to get numerous adjustments, the glasses fit perfectly. I also had no issues with the lenses. A little thicker than preferred but a good fit. Good customer service and a really fair price. Definitely going back. In need of a more updated look than the frames I provided.

Very nice and kind people. They were not sure if they had the right parts for my sunglasses and asked me to wait a few minutes to find a solution to fix it for me. They repaired my sunglasses in 30 minutes and didn't even charge me for it. I was surprised by their kindness. I'd highly recommend them.Thanks again

Very kind people and excellent customer service. They replaced my lenses within 15 minutes at a significantly lower price (compared with another shop).

Have bought a few pairs of glasses from these guys over the past few years. The staff are very nice, the glasses are decent prices, and they recently helped me out big time when the perscription I had received from the doctor was wrong - they replaced the wrong lens for free, which was super nice of them.Really highly recommended.
