I had high expectations for this place and was disappointed unfortunately. Especially given the price. We were a group of 6 for a birthday dinner. The food was bland and lacking in flavour. The service was really good I will say that. Oysters were tasty. The shrimp were quite small for the price, and the sauce for the croquettes didn’t taste like anything. Had to ask for pepper to add flavour to the cavatelli.

Used to love the willows. We were a party of 4 who went there last night and we were all very disappointed . The menu is small and ridiculously overpriced as is the wine list . We all 4 struggled to find a wine We would like that wasn't over 100$. I drink sauvignon blanc and the choice for that was maybe 1 kind . Food was OK. The salad accompanying the meal was just sad . All frilly leafy lettuceNo tomatoes or cucumbers or anything else. The best part of the meal was probably the dessertAll in all we were very disappointed. Not worth the money

These guys do some things very well. Appetizers - we tried a number of these, and they were all amazing. The mains were just okay and the Risotto was a miss. Service is good but the atmosphere was great. Come here and stick to the Appetizers and Wines.....you'll be happy you did.

One word: AMAZING. Party for 2 went for brunch. Exquisite views and mouth watering taste! Such great brunch. Small portions but honestly I was full. Little pricey but it's worth it. Service was great and friendly. The atmosphere was vintage and I'm obsessed.

We were a group of 8 for the family style lunch. The food was amazing from oysters to lobster roll, etc. We all loved everything and will definitely be coming again. Highly recommended.

My wife and I and our two close friends went to the Willow Inn to celebrate my good friends birthday. We found the ambiance and energy of the restaurant to be the perfect spot for a night out.Service:Our waitress was very friendly and had an upbeat personality. She explained the menu well and even got the bartender to make us a special cocktail that we make at home and it was amazing. The downside of the service was that it took quite awhile for us to get our wine after ordering it and there was also an extended period of time between the different components of the tasting menu. There was too much time between each phase of the tasting menu. The food:We ordered the tasting menu and found it to be good overall, however, it seemed more like select items chosen from appetizers and main courses that evening rather than an experience that represented what this restaurant was all about. The oysters were delicious and shrimpCocktail too. The beets and cured meat were very flavourful. The fish dish was beautifully cooked. The steak was flavourful and perfectly cooked but I found one steak for 4 people to be too little. The desserts were ok overall but nothing to write home over. The sticky toffee pudding was the highlight whereas the chocolate cake was very ordinary. For the price of $125 per person, I found that the tasting menu could have offered more variety, creativity and most definitely bigger portions.I will give this restaurant another shot in the future and order from the main menu next time.Chef Danny gave us a warm welcome and his staff was very friendly!

Very underwhelmed by our experience. We went to celebrate an event, and found the menu to be lacking in choice. For the price they charge the portions were tiny. Keep in mind, there are no sides given with the main course unless stated (like fries with the burger), so no veggies and/or rice. We ordered the lamb: it came with two small pieces and some radishes! The chicken was super thin and very dry served with a few mushrooms. The grilled calamari was not grilled and it was served cold-not very tasty. I don't usually post reviews about food, but having heard so much about how amazing this place is, I felt it was important to share my experience.

We went here for brunch last weekend. We arrived quite early so Chef Danny Smiles was gracious enough to give us Table 55 which has an outdoor panoramic view. From the service to the food, everything was impeccable. We truly enjoyed our time and we would keep coming back. Also, those pancakes were divine!

We decided to take a short drive off island to welcome the first nice weather of the spring season....and choose the Willow Inn, an institution of Hudson, Quebec for many years (over 200 years!).To start, as we made our way to the table which had a beautiful view of the Ottawa River, we were greeted by super welcoming smiles and greetings from each staff member we passed...it was heart-warming and certainly made us feel at home. Needless to say, the service was very friendly, guiding us on the menu and ensuring we had a great evening (which we did).We ordered in tapas" style as we wanted to get a good sampling of what was offered. Our ordered consisted of the Beef Croquetas (surprisingly light and very tasty)
