Comox Valley Airport

I had an amazing two trips. One trip was Christmas evening and the last trip was Easter weekend. Extremely busy and stressful times for myself. That being said, Brookelynn Bobbitt made my anxiety level to almost nil. She was amazing, can't thank her enough. I really dislike flying. But for her I now will be planning to travel for fun.

I got a parking ticket despite having paid for extra days and returned early, this was corrected after I made a phone call to the parking lot attendant (parking might be a contractor, but contractors are chosen and hired by facility therefore included in review).. one of our baggage was damaged, and we had to wait a while for help as there were no clerks at the counter...all minor issues easily resolved but irritating none the less. The facility was otherwise fine, washrooms, café etc.

Was flying for my first time and being a women alone travelling, young and scared stupidly asked security a question and got treated rudely by two of the women security workers one specifically with tattoos and made me feel so horrible I actually cried my whole first flight!! HIGHLY DONT RECCOMEND

They've added a bar once you get past security! But seating is far too limited.

It's what you want in a small airport. Not many frills, just a couple coffee shops and clean washrooms. No hassles in the security lines, the byproduct of not having tons of flights leaving. I'd drive here again instead of say Victoria, which is in itself a nice 'small' big airport.

WHY use this airport? Super easy in-out ... if you have family flying onto the island, this airport gives the greatest views on approach. Convenient parking with plenty of well-placed ticket machines (don't forget to put one on your dashboard). Food and snack options are good - makes waiting more fun!

Small, cute airport.The small restaurant is known for their baked goods.New to me, since last year, a little dine-in Cafe once you're through security.

We arrived home from holidays. Our last flight from Vancouver to Comox was delayed due to mechanical problems and another aircraft had to be used. Because of this, we passengers had to 'check' our carry on bags on a trolley just before boarding the plane, with no details about how we were to recover our bags upon arrival. A number of us thought our carry on bags would be at the baggage claim conveyor but we were wrong. When we looked for assistance from airport staff, we were admonished for not waiting at the aircraft to retrieve our them. They made (at least me) feel that we were inconveniencing them to have to search for our bags.And yes, Westjet should have told this info, but I do not appreciate how the Comox Airport staff handled our situation.

WestJet staff here are unprofessional and rude. Paid for a checked bag and showed up well before my boarding time and no one was at the check in desk.Waited 20 minutes only to hear my name paged to the gate and I was not allowed to bring my prepaid checked bag and rushed onto the plane 30 minutes before our boarding time.Was treated with nothing be disrespect, impatience and belittled by all WestJet staff.This airport is filled with people who don't care about you or your plans and I will never fly here again.
