Viamonde School Board

École Renaissance has been a great experience for us and we’re looking forward to many more years with school board.

Viamonde school board will ignore your opinion as a parent. Avoid to send your child to a francophone school. It is sad, but they think they are an elite.

Who the fork made this 10000 sq ft school french only ? There's 100 students and space for 3000 more of which there isn't... wishful thinking I guess

We spent a lot of time assessing French school options including TDSB and TCDSB immersion programs. We are very happy with Viamonde. Great community of diverse families at Pierre-Elliott Trudeau. We love the Class Dojo app updates from the caring teachers. Most importantly, the kids are happy and thriving in a French speaking environment.

Somebody asked for success stories: my two daughters and my son completed their entire schooling at Ecole Pierre Elliott Trudeau. My daughters went on to Toronto Ouest and graduated. They were accepted in all the programs to which they applied. Now one is at the University of Guelph and the other at McGill University (both got scholarships) They are both doing well in very competitive program) and they feel they were very well prepared for university. My son is now in 7th grade at Toronto Ouest and like his sisters he like his school and his teachers.

If you are not a native speaker or if you are not born in Quebec, don't even bother registering your child with CS Viamonde. They put your child through an intimidating interview" process. When your child doesn't talk to them

Great education system, devoted teachers, amazing school management, and overall one of the best school boards in the world!! 11/10! Bravo!

Not a modernized educational institution. Very behind in terms of technology and innovation in comparison to English school boards. Communication with families is minimal. Quality of teachers is extremely varied as they are always lacking French educators and will not necessarily hire high-caliber teachers, but ones that can just speak the language. No real emphasis or pressure on schools to offer extra-curricular activities. Still utilizing a lot of dated materials (pencil/paper) style of teaching. The school board needs to look at other school boards in order to keep up with their innovations to become competitive. An overhaul is required to bring this school board into the 21 century. 1 star.

They say that if you want to ENSURE your child's top notch successful future than go with them. I asked them for success stories and no answer.
