After having a major engine failure enroute to the Schuswap from the Fraser Valley, we managed to arrive at Bannister Hyundai in Kamloops a couple hours before the Service Dept. was closing. Despite a busy afternoon, they fit us in for a diagnostic. Once informed of the warranty process, the two Service reps, Norbert and Aiden, helped us on our way with a rental car arrangement, an easy after-hours plan for unloading our belongings into our rental car, paperwork needs, etc. They were extremely professional and pleasant! As well, their Enterprise rental car contact came and got us, so we were able to transition to the rental car before the dealership closed. The high level of customer service is well beyond that of our previous experiences with other dealerships we’ve regularly dealt with, including many years as Honda owners! A ‘bad car day’ ended up being much easier thanks to the two guys at Bannister’s Hyundai Service counter! Thank you!

Yesterday I was so unhappy with the service, having an appointment booked days for something that should have been simple. This morning the sales manager, knowing my schedule is tight, took 5 minutes out of his day and asked a few questions then solved the problem. No need for missing work for service appointments several days away. No fuss. Just solved the issue in 5 minutes. That is customer service at its finest. Trustworthy sales team.In a time where scams are everywhere, an almost too-good-to-be-true scenario with a waitlisted Ioniq 5 (still 2-3 years at my local dealership) was posted by one of the sales team on Facebook marketplace, in the package and colour I was waiting for. We were both very busy with work and couldn't drive 3 hours to go view the car in person.Nervous about doing any sort of deposit or online payments to people I don't know, my wife and I had an uneasy feeling about it but didn't want to miss out as my current car was really pushing it's end-of-life limits.After doing a lot of background checking, calling a few dealerships and investigating the online payment methods they requested to use, even having a WhatsApp video chat with the finance person at the dealership, we decided to go ahead with it.They even had someone deliver the vehicle to us in Chilliwack to save us the 6 hour round trip on the long weekend, and then covered the cost of charging it back up to 100% before I drove it home.

Prompt communication, upfront pricing, and professional staff.Coming from the lower mainland, I wanted a car that was only in stock from Bannister Hyundai in Kamloops. Communicated with their salesperson Connor predominately online, and the process was convenient and comfortable. He made the decision-making process as straightforward as possible by giving me the upfront all-in pricing right off the bat when other dealerships tried to obfuscate it all or required me to come in. Connor kept me updated on when the car would arrive at the dealership and reached out promptly when it was ready.Worked with Chris on the paperwork and finances, which was also pleasant, with no hidden charges or pressure tactics. Everything was done online until the delivery of the car, which went as seamlessly as it could.I would recommend purchasing a car from them and hope they keep up the excellent and upfront work.

Took our car in for an oil change today and a recall repair. Specifically requested nothing else be done, and told the guy at the counter I would be waiting in their lounge area for the car to be ready. When the work was done they passed me an invoice with a cabin air filter charge on the invoice. They did not ask to do that work even though I was on the premise. When questioned as to why they didn’t notify me, they simply said they always do this work with an oil change.Terrible customer service, and just trying to make a buck off of anyone they can. Very disappointing. Last time I will be using them.

Customer service was extremely poor. I can understand that cars take longer than originally planned but I dropped my car off at 10:30 and was told 1-2 hours, so I expected 3 because things happen. I call 3 hours later to ask if there was a time my car would be done. They informed me that it hadn’t gone in yet but will be next. - okay fine I get it. Car is done at 1:55 and I request a courtesy car. They say it’s on its way right away (keep in mind, it’s a 6km drive to pick me up) 30 minutes later, I’m told there’s traffic and that he’ll be there in 25 minutes. Even when traffic is bad in Kamloops, it’s not almost an hour slow. After 35 minutes, I receive a call saying he couldn’t find my address and decided to go back. After no apology, or even an attempt to double check the address, he gave up. So they send him again, miraculously he makes it there. Within 10 minutes somehow, this time. When before it was over an hour. He didn’t apologize d when he picked me up. When I got back to the dealership, they made a poor excuse of a joke and still NO apology. I’m not one to complain, I get it, things happen. But this all could’ve been made better with a simple apology instead of jokes and excuses.
