Delano Academy

As a long time employee (5 years) at Delano Academy, I can honestly say that it is a pleasure working here. Mrs. Palombo is the most hardworking and focused individual that completes each school related task with a high attention to detail and in the best interest of her students. She strives to make every learning experience for the children educational and fun. Staff members teach every class in an interesting and challenging way to keep each student engaged in learning. I witness every student thrive, praised for their hard-work and skills while simultaneously receiving an incredible educational experience. I love working with every staff members at the school especially Mrs. Palombo. Each staff member is kindhearted and has a true passion for teaching and the wellbeing of children. Delano Academy is not just a school but a family that emanates inclusivity, equity and love. The school is a wonderful environment that is ALWAYS decorated, clean and child appropriate.

this is a relatively good school, i did a few years here and my earlier year were really good, a lot of good teachers, it is in fact a higher education and you learn kinda half half of stuff from the grade above and your current grade. But on that note i have had a lot of bad experiences with other students there, one situation that i think should’ve been dealt with differently and taken more seriously than it was, and a lot of downright disgusting behaviour from certain students, and certain kids getting in less trouble because they have “special privileges” (i will not be disclosing what i mean because i do not want to target people). These things very literally ruined my school experience while i was there. On that note most of those that did those things kids are graduating next year and this year, So all i advise is be cautious if your child is in middle school, but their kindergarten- grade 4 classes are relatively good. The food is mediocre for its price, and the facility is okay, it’s not great because it’s a basement, but the classrooms are decorated quite nicely. Final critique is they romanticize a lot of stuff that happens there in general. So yeah this is a genuine review and i tried my best not too be bias about any bad experiences, and good experiences. My son is so happy here and has so many friends for a small school. As a parent I want my child to have fun and to be challenged. To be honest this is the first time that my son asks to go to school and tells me everything he did. I am very satisfied with the diversity, attention and especially the communication that I get from the school and teachers. I am so happy we moved our son to this school it is such a warm feeling that you get here. You have to see it yourself.

It's my son's second year at Delano Academy. I am very impressed with the school and couldn't be more pleased with the love, care, attention my son gets from the amazing school staff.I have found this school to be a very friendly and happy environment where my son thrives, is eager to attend, and makes great friendships.My son ejoyes their learning and is able to reach his full potential.

The staff here are excellent examples of people who truly want to help kids learn. They bring not only academic skills to the school but life experience as well. A complete person approach to teaching and learning.

Poor level of education compare to some other private schools that cost very similar. Facility is very dark as well as the classrooms since its an underground level of the building which I never liked. It also smells so bad as the kitchen of the community centre is inside of “ the schools gym..” ( my kid is not part of that school anymore..)

This is an incredible school. What they have done for my daughter in one year, public schools haven't done in 6 years. She is challenged in her school work and thriving at Delano Academy. The education is far superior as she has more one on one time with her teacher. She has made so many close friends. Delano truly cares about each student and it shows in everything they do. We are forever grateful to Delano Academy.

went here for two years, teachers don’t seem like they care about teaching their students. education is worse than public school education, i was behind my classmates when i switched schools. The principle cares more about the school instagram than the actual school. place is terrible.

I have worked at Delano Academy for 3 years and each year has been a memorable one. My colleagues are all wonderful people to work with. They have always made me feel welcome and part of the team. There is a mutual respect and we work together collaboratively to meet challenges we share in the teaching profession. The school is rich in 21st century learning- emphasized through the use of new technologies in every classroom and also through the philosophy and vision of the Head of School. Delano Academy has been a place where I have been able to grow and develop myself as an educator.

Can’t speak highly enough of the quality of education and care my kids receive from the passionate teachers and staff at Delano. I am extremely happy, that we as a family, chose to enrol our kids at this school. I would strongly recommend Delano to other families who want their child(ren) to receive a well-rounded education, in a nurturing, caring and safe environment.
