This is a review of the food as I read from another reviewer that they had a bad experience with dining in. The food taste, quantity, and price exceeded my expectations. I will be back to dine-in and take advantage of the beer special.Room for improvement - could have offered me ketchup, cutlery and napkins as those were not in the bag.Otherwise the staff at the counter was nice and friendly. The food was made fast and the presentation was also good. Thank you!

We popped in for lunch prior to a matinee theatre commitment. We were a party of five and very impressed with the affordable high quality food. Meals included fish & chips (x3), chicken burger and a shrimp burger. All well presented, tasty and affordable (81$ for a party of five which included an 18% tip)

Superbly delicious Fish & Chips along the Drive. We had the Cod & Chips and their special Halibut & Yam Fries. Large pieces of perfectly battered and fried fish. Surprisingly, they were not too oily. The take-out order took about 15 minutes, which allowed some pedestrian time to check out the shops and other eateries along Commercial Drive. The service at Windjammer was welcoming and friendly. We have been to a number of restaurants in this nice neighbourhood, and we will definitely be back at the Windjammer.

Was overcharged on the food. Called and was told to called back to the manager. She didn't want to talk. I went over the bill with the server anyway. She said it was right. I did the calculations with her on the phone and yes I was overcharged but she didn't want to resolve it or admit that I was overcharged. Beware. Get a receipt and check it over carefully before you leave. Don't recommend.

You don't know what your missing if you haven't tried this place yet. This is the fish n chip gem of Vancouver! Place is kept extremely clean! And I mean it's spotless! Food is 5 stars and beer is cold. Best prices! How do you beat 8.99 for 2 pieces cod dinner?!

Halibut fish was good ,fries were not so great . Gf ordered a cheese burger was not good. They must be using frozen patties from a box. Place was clean. But we will not come back. Was surprised with all the 5 star experiences.

Wow! What a nice surprise. Must’ve walked by hundreds of times and thought I’d give it a try finally. We had the salmon burger and halibut fish’n’chips. One of the best! The coleslaw is light, without mayonnaise. Will be back.

We just ate here and ended up getting the 2 piece Fried Halibut and I got sweet potato fries and hubby regular fries. Omg so good and the fish was fresh and flakey, cooked to perfection. We could not finish all our food there was so much. I would highly recommend. This was the regular dinner portion. We opted not to get the special as they said the portions were smaller

Great food and service at great price!!Portions are really great and lots of youth/kids in the neighborhood order portions to share with their pals!!Decor is not super abundant or flashy, but I think that's a style in itself. Very simple, not distracting, and the old fashioned style is super cozy like grandpa's house.
