I was a little apprehensive about having a total shoulder replacement my family doctor said that Dr. Plausinius was the best in North America not to worry at all. My doctor was correct fantastic work . I have no pain and 95 % movement after 7 weeks ,waiting to build strength but could not be happier with the results . Totally recommend Dr. Plausinis

Dr. Derek Plausinis
Dr. Plausinis performed a surgery on my elbow that saved me from having to have an elbow replacement. I met with him beforehand, during the surgery, and had two follow-ups with him afterward. He was wonderful during all appointments and I don't have a single negative thing to say about the care I received.

I had total shoulder replacement in Sept. 2018 on my left shoulder and the same thing done on my right shoulder in March 2019. I am so pleased with the results of both surgeries. After many years of horrible pain I can now say my shoulders and arms are pain free. Dr. Plausinis is an awesome surgeon. He answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed when I saw him. I was totally comfortable going into both surgeries. I would highly recommend Dr. Plausinis to anyone who needs surgery. Thanks Dr. Plausinis for everything you did for me.

Dr. Plausinis performed my complete right shoulder replacement in Aug. 2018, it has been 6 months and my shoulder feels great. Arthritic pain pain disappeared immediately following surgery. I would highly recommend him for this type of surgery, very knowledgeable and great bedside manner. Thank you.

Dr. Derek Plausinis performed a rotator cuff procedure on my left shoulder in July of 2020. The day after surgery I had very little pain and just minor discomfort.My shoulder feels awesome today and my range of motion is great.I have been followed closely for almost 6 months and feel that his care has been outstanding overall.He is a very professional and competent surgeon and I highly recommend him if you are suffering with any pain in your shoulders.

Dr. Plausinis performed a reverse shoulder replacement on my right shoulder, the surgery was life changing for me. Twenty years previous, I had surgery on my shoulder, that was not successful. Believing there was nothing that could be done, I suffered. I was lucky enough to be sent to Dr. Plausinis. The first time I met him, comfortable and safe, a nice person, who gets the the job done! Great Surgeon!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Plausinis. I had a complex shoulder injury from a IED blast during operation Athena Task Force 3-09. It did a real number on my rotator cuff which required difficult reconstructive surgery. Two surgeries later and six months of physiotherapy I have almost complete mobility and strength. I no longer have any pain in my shoulder.

Dr. Derek Plausinis performed the Laterjet procedure on my left shoulder, after almost a dozen years of dislocations-more frequently in the recent past. He is an excellent surgeon, in my opinion. The surgery went without a hitch and three days following the procedure, I was pain free. I also did not experience any bruising. I was followed closely for almost 6 months and felt his care, overall, to be professional and competent.

Dr. P replaced my right shoulder. My left had been done in Alta 6 yrs earlier. It wAs with great trepidation that I had the second one replaced. However, the experience was a pleasure compared to my first. Pain free and able to do what I need to. The operation was a stellar success. The rest is up to me. I recommend this surgeon to anyone suffering from arthritis (as I am). 81 years old with a lot of pleasant days ahead
