Capilano Golf and Country Club

My family held a surprise birthday party for me on Friday September 23rd, 2016 with a total of 45 attendees. The setting was great, the food was equally good and the service made everything move well. Many of the guests have remarked on the quality of the event. I am told by the organizers that the Catering Manager was very helpful in putting the arrangements in place.I hope that these comments will be conveyed to the staff to show our appreciation of their contribution.

This fantastic Golf and Country Club is so much more than your traditional golf course. It is host to numerous events and other groups such as the Rotary Club of West Vancouver Sunrise. It's a delightful venue for corporate events and also for weddings. The catering team are lovely and there's plenty of parking. It's tucked away and very private for any sort of event. One of the best spots you can find on the North Shore if you're looking for a private venue.

A private golf course and country club. Members only. Mandatory dress code. Exceptional grass. Excellent views. Quiet. Well maintained. Professional personell. I felt that the world slowed down once I drove on their property. The reception area is very rustic, old fashion, with traditional elements, but solid and well built, when compared to the regular homes even in West Vancouver.I am not a member but for many years I have done service for them.

Being a member here for over 25 years has been my honor. This place is spectacular with an amazing course. The facilities are second to none. The service is white glove and the food is outstanding (even as a Vegan:) - Will miss this place! Thank you all!

I'm not a golfer or a member, but I have been here quite a few times as a guest and the food is delicious. The Christmas brunch buffet is unparalleled. There are carolers in costume and the food and atmosphere are amazing. We look forward to it every year. We also had our wedding here and I can't say enough nice things about how helpful the staff were and how wonderful everything turned out. I've attended two other weddings here, in addition to my own, and had a fantastic time at each. The guests always rave about the food. The location is spectacular for a number of different types of photos. Our photos turned out so well, they were featured in a wedding magazine. Though it may be a bit of a hassle to get all your guests over to the heart of West Van for your event, I say it is well worth it.

Winter WeddingSusanne was our primary contact at Capilano Golf & Country Club and she was a pleasure to work with. She collaborated and effectively communicated with us and our wedding planner to help us celebrate.The food was unparalleled!!! Many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they had hands down. We went with a buffet and had nothing but fantastic reviews for the quality, quantity, and selection. If food is a priority, I would recommend the golf club hands down. It is to die for!The venue space was also a huge selling point as our wedding took place in the winter and many venues we looked at catered to being outdoors which was an unlikely option for a February wedding. We had access to the full main floor which meant we didn't feel crammed into one room. We had a room designated for each part of the night and every room had its own unique character and appeal. The decor and design of the space are stunning on its own which means we didn't need a ton of added decor. Mostly just brought in things to add to an already gorgeous space.With it being a golf-club there are some member rules and somewhat outdated ones (Men's only areas) there are a few limitations as to where you can get pictures done, depending on the time of year when you are using the venue and how busy the course and members areas are. However, with it being February for us Susannah was amazing at working her magic to find the perfect spots for us.We were superbly happy with the venue and Sussanah! We would recommend it to others.

I worked here last summer with course and grounds team and was able to play quite a few rounds of golf. The course is really meticulously maintained of which I had first hand knowledge of the effort that goes into this everyday. Very walkable course with some spectacular views of the city..can’t think of a better way to spend the afternoon..Jamie, Mike and Stu are really top class guys and make working there a real pleasure..Without a doubt one of the best golf courses in Canada..
