I love Garibaldi Lake and panorama Ridge. It is my favorite day hike on earth. Where else can you see that much within a day!!!!! If you go up to panorama ridge by Taylor meadow trail then down to the lake, then from there go to the parking lot, it will take you 31Km roughly 1600m gain. If you’re in shape you can do it in one day as we did in 9 hours. Although allow yourself more time in order to enjoy the settings. Pay attention at what time the sun goes down and pace yourself going down, I noticed most people hurt themselves going down.

Incredible 360 views from the top of this hike. A long hike (around 9-10 hrs) but the pay-off is definitely worth it. Garibaldi lake looks spectacular from the top but looking back at Black Tusk is also an amazing site. The hike up to Garibaldi like is constant uphill (exhausting but not too bad); it flattens out a bit for the next 4 km and then is more technical uphill rocky terrain for the last 2-3 kms.Went the first week of July and there were only a couple of sections of snow on the last stretch which can be managed with good shoes (running shoes is possible but will be more slippery).Bring lots of water and food to prepare for the long trek up. There are some creeks where you could fill up water past Taylor meadows as well.

Very tough hike if starting from the parking lot. We started from Taylor Meadows where we camped out and it was relatively easy. Of of the best views I have ever seen on a sunny day! Highly recommend it. It's a bit windy and exposed at the top so be prepared.

Leisurely hike of 28kms consisting of beautiful landscapes and nature! The first six kilometres to the Taylor Meadows junction is quite uneventful and consists of switchbacks. At this point I suggest dousing yourself in bug spray, the hike will be fairly steady until you reach the base of panorama ridge for some intense uphill!Spectacular views of the lake await at the peak!If you’re lucky and there is still snow, slide down and you’ll save a lot of time! Trust me, it’s safe, your knees, feet and legs will thank you!I went with 3L of water, some trail mix, and a cold cut Subway sandwich wrapped tightly and didn’t get gobbled by a bear! 8hrs round trip, started at 7am, plenty of parking! Not quite the case when we were back in the afternoon! Make sure to reserve a free parking pass!

The best hiking experience ever. We did this hike on Sept 04, 2022. Took me 12 hrs total with half an hour break on the ridge( Beginner) It is pretty much hard and really long, so be mentally prepared. The first 6 KMS of switchbacks are curvy paths and shaded. After Taylor Meadows(7.5 kms from the parking), it’s open area with beautiful wild flowers and a magnificent view of the black tusk. The last 2km is really slippery as the rocks are on the loose. The view at the ridge is magical and worth the long trek. Plenty of creeks to fill up water ( Recommend bringing water filtration tablets). Hiking poles are very helpful and Can be done in runners too. Do bring a good bug spray and bear spray( there were lot of bear sightings recently). Enjoy the nature and don’t forget to pickup your trashes. It’s recommended to bring paper towels and washrooms are only available at the parking, 6km resting area and at the Taylor meadows camp ground.

We did the hike at the end of May, there was a fair amount of snow which made the hike a bit more complicated. Definitely recommend bringing snowshoes or spikes, hiking boots and quick dry socks. Make sure you stay alert to avoid getting off the trail, which happened to us. We didn’t see a lot of people, foot steps can be misleading and getting back on alternate routes is hard due to elevation gain. Also bring plenty of snacks and water, snow is hard to walk on. I did the whole hike in tennis shoes with no spikes, not impossible but my friends who were better prepared had a better time.

One of the best hikes I’ve ever done in a day, took us around 11hrs round trip, average pace with breaks in between. Carry lots of water or filter many creeks along the trail in the meadows, mosquito repellent, hiking poles and enough snacks. The first 7 kms is just up hill, there’s an outhouse after 6km mark. Another outhouse at Taylor meadow campground. The last 2kms is of a struggle on the rocks and little snow but doable. The parking spots were almost gone by 8:30am so try to be there earlier than that on weekend. Pass is definitely checked at the entrance. Lots of fellow hikers on Saturday.

Rewarding, long hike. It took almost 11 hours to do 28 KM. The hike has a vast of landscapes throughout the walk. You can slide on the mountain at the top of the view point if you want to avoid hiking back, it was so much fun to do it. A pleasant, unexpected surprise. You camp. You need bug repellent and probably boots, there was snow in the top. You need to book your parking spot in advance. The view is outstanding.
