Qaumajuq

I was disappointed by my visit. There were numerous technical issues with the displays on the first and third floor. The video played choppy and the audio played over itself which was irritating and difficult to concentrate on. But the biggest regret is that much of the artwork was amateur and basic, and more befitting of a participation trophy, not a permanent exhibition of the best that Qaumajuq should be offering. The best pieces are in the vault, but unlike the weak offerings in the gallery, they are positioned mostly too high or awkward for the visitor to get close and enjoy. The digital system to view the vault collection is slow and unresponsive to touch and does not make up for the act of viewing with your own eyes. Poor execution!

Fantastic and still developing new spaces. Will be back to visit and see how the exhibit has changed my next visit to Winnipeg.

Beautiful new space celebrating indigenous art. Very thoughtful layout and curated pieces.

Really nice place. We enjoyed with our kids the expositionas it is a very luminous and ample place. The displayed art is really interesting as well.

Loved the NDTR programming and guided tour of the gallery by one of the junior curators. Highly recommend spending a day to view and reflect on the numerous Inuit sculptures, carvings and artwork.

Stunning gallery and artwork. There's more than one can take in, in a single visit. I'm partial to needlework, so certain pieces really resonated with me. The artistry and skill is unparalleled. Thank you, artists and curators.

Gorgeous space, well though out gallery display and integrates well with the existing gallery.
