Worst stay of our lives... host is rude and billigenerent ... the rooms smell and the overall house is run and down and dated..

Great old homes converted into a lovely b&b. Loved the last minute availability when the entire city is full. Stayed in the garden room. Missed having a bathroom attached to the room, but for the price and location it was fair. Would stay again.

Super rude host. This shouldn't be classified as an inn, it should be on air bnb. It's not an inn it's a house with rooms rented out. Not ideal would not recommend. Holiday inn was way friendlier and more accomodating.

must say that my wife and i were very disappointed with this bed and breakfast ... as we entered calgary we were looking forward to a quaint stay in a trendy neighbor hood like Kensington. but this B&B ruined our trip.. the beds were very uncomfortable, the house was old and run down, and the management was rude and unfriendly as though they were doing us a favor by staying there.. i should have listened to the negative reviews on this site... the positive ones look fake as though they hired marketers to post them up.

So you're a romantic couple who just arrived in Calgary. You're savvy travelers since you figured out Calgary-Rockies-Edmonton is the smart choice to go from Banff to Lake Jasper rather than starting in Vancouver. Now you feel like a genius because you've arrived at River Wynde and checked it out. Steps from downtown Calgary, awesome room (top floor, outside porch), excellent breakfast, beautiful gardens, very clean. But the best is when you meet the owner Deanne...it's like you just arrived at your friend's house after a long absence. Ambiance, friendship, location. Wowza and at THIS low price!!

This is my favourite place in Calgary. I stayed here every time I came to Calgary for years and kept it a secret. Amazing hospitality and the kind of family home feel you don't get in any hotel. And Diane makes the best breakfasts you can imagine.

Okay this place is the bomb..it's always full, so hard to get in here, must be the fantastic host. Other patrons are welcoming, its like having another family and you never want to leave, I have been lucky enough to stay here a few times and should visit more often. Love the old house, the owner and it's warm and inviting feel. House has all its unique creaks and groans and adds character to the stay. If you can get in on this place try it once, it is a once in a lifetime experience.

My Wife and I spent a night at River Wynde for our wedding anniversary and truly had an amazing experience. Both Deanne and Susan made us feel so comfortable and at home and went to great lengths to see that our requests were met. I would HIGHLY recommend staying in this quaint and cozy B&B. What a stunning neighbourhood also. We will be staying here again as soon as possible.

Fantastic place, could not recommend staying here more highly. Beautiful house and garden, clean bathrooms with everything you need to shower, yoga mats and a free athletic club pass. Do yourself a favor and book this place.

The best b&b ever. De is one of the most interesting person I have ever met. Love her sense of humor and how she embraces the experience for her guests.
