We stayed at Ian's property for 3 nights in July. What Ian presents online is a false representation of his property. In addition, he was extremely difficult to deal with as he made false accusations about us and our stay and as a result charged us extra fees" for tax

Beachside by the Bay is paradise at your back door. We spent a weekend at the cottage in early October and had a wonderful time. I have been to the Sunshine Coast many times before, but have never experienced it quite like this. The cottage was very cozy and clean, and the views were spectacular. Upon arrival we saw over 50 porpoises jumping and swimming right in front of the hot tub, and I knew right then that this was going to be an amazing weekend. The location was perfect, a quick drive to the town, and an enjoyable stroll to the pier. I would recommend Beachside by the Bay to everyone! Thanks Ian and Linda for everything.

Such a quiet and peaceful spot with stunning views all around. We were also able to walk along the beach at low tide to Gourmet Girl for breakfast and visit the shops at Davis Bay.

The units are really nicely outfitted and the owners are fantastic! Quick walk to Davis Bay and a $10 taxi ride to Sechelt (we did our whole trip from Vancouver by transit, which was really easy). Fantastic views and really relaxing. 100% recommend, we will definitely be coming back.

My girlfriend and I stayed in a lovely huge loft that could easily sleep 6. There's a fully-equipped kitchen and electric fireplace for both ambience and warmth. The views are spectacular - you can see all the way across the strait to Nanaimo. Wildlife is everywhere, and I loved watching the eagles. I was looking for a private getaway - and I found it here.

Room was gorgeous. Place was very cozy. The view was amazing, I'd come back just for that.The location was easy to find, although not super convenient if you're on foot. However, the seclusion means your in for a quiet and peaceful stay.The amenities were very nice and the kitchen area was just what we needed for a few night stay.

What an amazing location! We felt so private even though there are other occupied suites on the property, I know the loft is nice but i was happy we had a covered porch in the lower suite cause we were able to experience the biggest lightening storm in years !

We have been visiting Beachside by the Bay for years. Ian and Linda have created a beautiful atmosphere for visitors and clearly put a lot of effort into making sure every visit is special.You can't beat the view of the water, with Nanaimo across the Straight. The hot tub has the best view of any hot tub I have ever enjoyed. The suite is clean, modern, and has everything you could ask for in a vacation rental.I'm sure we will be back many times in the future.
