We needed a repair to our dryer vent after a renovation. I called Patrick and he was extremely helpful and patient over the phone as I explained everything. He was very responsive in booking us in as soon as he could and kept in touch the day of. His work was thorough and professional. He rerouted our dryer vent and cleaned it as well. He also gave tips on dryer use based on the season. He really knows his trade and we felt very confident in his solutions. As a Licensed REALTOR® with MaxWell POLARIS who has attended hundreds of property inspections in Greater Edmonton for residential, rural, and commercial clients, I advise homeowners and in particular all apartment condo home owners to schedule regular cleaning of your dryer and dryer duct cleaning to avoid future disasters due to non-maintenance. Problems of not maintaining properly can include: moisture and excess lint in ducts; bird nests, etc. that must be cleaned out to avoid possible mold and fire hazards. Patrick is professional, courteous, tidy, and has the equipment and materials with him to do quality and timely maintenance and repairs. Keep up the great work Patrick!

Not only did he fix the issues I was having but he educated me on the damage silicone dryer balls do to dryers. I was lucky and able to book an appointment within a few weeks thanks to a cancellation ... was worth the wait, will definitely use adl-Dryer Vent Services again!

Our neighbor referred us to ADL Dryer Vent Services as they could see that our upstairs laundry room that has the dryer vent on the roof was almost plugged with lint. Patrick was able to get us scheduled in quickly on a cancellation and stated what the charge would be. He arrived early and was suited up and masked (for Covid19) throughout the whole time as the complete job is done inside the house without the need to go on the roof. Not only did he explain the procedure, but went far and above to show the progress and the contents in the vent as he cleaned.Patrick also took the time to look at our dryer that just recently started making noise and explained how dryers are to be installed and did not judge after I told him it was me that installed it and gave some recommendations and also stated that one heating coil was not working in the element.When the work was done everything was cleaned and returned the way he found it. The invoice was the exact amount I was quoted plus a dryer vent hose and correct clamps.We'll be having ADL out annually to clean our vent and keep our dryer working to its peak performance.Follow up Visit:6 months after Patrick came out we had our roof redone and the roofers didn't install the new dryer vent properly causing the vent to plug once again but from the inside, but thinking my cheap dryer quit I went and bought a new one with the same result. If your dryer is relatively new and stops drying before doing repairs or replacing it, do yourself a favor and call out ADL to first clean the vent especially if your laundry room is on the second floor. Once the vent is cleaned out ADL will test and further advise if a dryer repair is actually required.

I contacted Patrick to request a repair of my vent setup from the inside to the outside. He had to place a seal cover on the inside and insulate the tubing running to the outside vent as well as replace and seal the outside vent hood. He informed me on how to maintain the outside vent from lint buildup and let me know that 75% of the buildup occurs on the exhaust fan at the back of the dryer and that what causes a fire. He did recommend yearly cleaning of the duct work and the exhaust fan. Assisted on purging my dryer connection for steam, then hooking up my dryer ducting and the steam cycle on the dryer. Rechecked connections for the steam cycle on the washer and discovered that the y connector was plastic and recommended a copper fitting; however stainless would also work. Acquired the appropriate connector and he installed it as well as tightened the hose connections as they were not installed correctly. Patrick was very knowledgeable and professional in the install and repair of my issues. I would highly recommend Patrick for all your duct & vent needs. I find his price for the work that was done and his craftmanship were way above board. (The photo shows the install of the plate and duct connection. The board looks like it is bowed out, but it is because the wall was not flush. Patrick placed caulking around to seal any gaps).
