One of the worst experiences of my life at this facility. 90% of the staff cannot speak english (literally none) and the majority of the managing staff are pig headed and insincere. Communication between staff members/departments is extremely poor resulting in scary mistakes if friends or family are not present. Family meetings are also poorly executed and extremely blunt with little hope to be giving in most cases. This is where hope and motivation goes to die.If you have a valid complaint regarding negligence, prepare to be treated like a dog afterwards, regardless how you approach the situation. We've been told by a staff member that some of the teams are like gangs, and protect each other to wiggle out of serious situations. So good luck raising concerns to a director or higher up.The schedule" as they call it was never honored

I can't say enough good things about Gingras and its devoted and super-competent personnel. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the préposées to the nurses, therapists, social workers, nutritionists, psychologists to the attending physicians are all on the same page with a commitment to get stroke patients back on their feet in a mutually agreeable timeframe. Everything that I could imagine being able to do again I was able to achieve with their help.

The core physio staff and the social workers are very dedicated and have been very kind overall. There are a lot of language barriers for patients who do not speak French fluently so that's part isn't ideal. And the frankly there is one secretary who always seem like she's in an awful mood... Everyday... She has a tendency of having very little patience people, and comes off very rude... I don't know what her deal is...

- Cuncussion - PCS -Dr Helen. L, is the best medical professional I've had. Honestly give that person a raise. She spends the time needed with each patient. Treats them with the dignity, respect, kindness and humor that every medical professional should strive for. I couldn't have asked for a more qualified knowledgeable doctor to help me through with this Cuncussion & PCS.- Pandemic -This hospital is still following covid rules; So please be kind to the guard when changing your blue mask (or bring your own *new N95 to put on) and use the hand sanitizer.- Environment General staff -The secretaries are helpful and nice (I am bilingual so I am not sure if they can accommodate an Anglophone). The appointment rooms and waiting rooms are clean and nice.

My father was brought to 6300 Av. de Darlington 1st floor after a head injury. We were happy and impressed with the entire team of experts who helped him everyday to get better. The staff was bilingual which helped my dad understand better. The place was clean. Thank you for all your help. Keep up the amazing work.

My husband was admitted after a cardiac arrest and has a tracheostomy. The nursing staff were completely incapable of taking care of him and after 36 hours he was rushed to the ICU at the General (not even the hosohosp he left from). A complete nightmare!

My mother was admitted here for a spinal cord injury related to an underlying medical condition. The staff were ok. They were very organized with the daily care plan. But what I didn’t like was that they were very pushy with their family meetings. Like they wanted to push you out of there ASAP. Like they had an agenda. But every case is different. We ‘ d rather be at home and not there .For what turned out to be the last months of my mother’s life, she felt rejected and constantly reminded that she was taking up a bed. She was discharged to a long term care facility under the pretense that it was just temporary. Just to push her out. She died there. They do not give families a choice: it was based on their decision, not a holistic approach with zero psychological support.. Just push out. Any place with a bed but not the most appropriate place like , for example a hospice.

I had an accident that forced me to relearn how to breath, sit, walk, drink, eat solid food from scratch. Couldn't use any of my arms or legs in the hospital. 2 weeks in the rehab, i started walking, exercicing, taking a shower, using a phone, etc. Once released from the hospital this place gives you back the confidence you need to restart your life again. People there will make sure that you utilize the strength you have in you and rebuild yourself. Special thanks to Joanie & Emilie who were my physio and ergo! And of course all the staff (including the night staff) who were very supportive, especially during COVID outbreaks.

I was a pedestrian and was hit by van doing 60 kph who broke both of my legs, my left am, 2 fingers and 3 ribs. These people put me back on my feet again. Thank you to everyone that works at this rehab centre, I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience there.
