Mount Tzouhalem Ecological Reserve
All around a beautiful mountain and hike! Hiking to the cross at the top is a must-do for anyone living on Vancouver Island or anyone passing through. The views of Duncan, the surrounding area, and the entire valley are breathtaking. The hike isn't super difficult but be sure to bring good hiking shoes and water. Highly recommend!

Great place to go with little ones. Not stroller accessible anymore, but eadiy enough of a hike from the water tower parking lot. It's nice to pass through on your way up to the bluffs as well!

Need a place to get away and think? This is it! There is all sorts of wonderful trees, Owls, Eagles and Ravens. If you do come to visit, make sure you respect what little we have left of nature and follow the basic guidelines of staying on the trails. Enjoy!

Mount Tzouhalem Ecological Reserve
A beautiful hill peppered with seemingly infinite paths, for hikers and mt bikers alike! The hike up to The Cross is one of the more popular in this area. There are many ways up to this point but all have reasonable inclines and nothing too steep. About 250-300m elevation gain total. The only downside to this park is that the trails are VERY poorly labeled, and often not labeled at all. Use Google maps to see many of the trails and the compass to keep yourself oriented if you're new to the area!
