This school is amazing! My children have attended Junior and Senior Kindergarten here and it is well worth the money. The program is unmatched! Students are introduced to academics in a fun way. Both programs are Full-day programs. This gives students so much time to learn, play, explore and grow. By the end of Jr K, students are reading short words, and have a strong introduction to math basics. Also, they learn so much in other subjects like science, social studies, music, and French. KG is also a fantastic program with a great focus on Math and Language Arts. With weekly spelling tests and monthly math books, students complete KG with the ability to spell 5 and 6 letter words as well as being about to read very well. Not once did I have one of my children say they didn't want to go to school. The teachers are amazing! They are kind, caring, talented, teachers that meet each child at their own level. The school environment is one of community and respect. Students are diverse in culture, religion, academic ability and interests but the school community is strong and students feel like they belong. I can not say enough about this school. Invest in your child's future at PA, you won't regret it!

My children have really enjoyed their first year in Progressive Academy's JK and SK programs. They look forward to each day, and have blossomed in their social and academic abilities. Their teachers are loving, focused, and attentive to their well being. I receive regular updates on their progress, and know that there are numerous activities to keep them engaged throughout the day. I appreciate the small class sizes, that there are two teachers in each room, and that the children are able to go to different classes with different teachers for different subjects. I also appreciate that the children interact with other students of similar or greater age in order to practice their reading and language skills. Next year, my children will be using the school's private school bus, which provides door to door service, in order to go and come from school. Overall, my children and I have had a positive and fulfilling experience at Progressive Academy, and we hope to continue our enrolment at the school for many years to come.

Sending your child here is a mistake. They offer a camp for CALM and Phys Ed Mountain Adventures my child attended. Dirty kitchens, dirty washrooms, smelly sulpher drinking water and sketchy secretive staff (Lana) . My child had to leave early from a two week camp due to illness (unfiltered well water to blame)She was told she could get her credits if she completed the assignments and hours for Phys Ed. After doing so she was then denied her credits and staff (Lana) refused to return my phone calls.

I sent my both kids to PA started 2021 school year. My daughter attended JK program at Sunflower room with teacher Ishani and Deema. They truly care and love my daughter. For the last 10 months, my daughter has grown and learnt not only academically but also attitudes and behaviors. I’m so glad we made the right choice and lucky to have amazing teachers for my both kids!

This school has made an incredible difference to my daughter's personality and development. She was in another daycare close to this one but it was basically a warehouse for children and at 4 years old she was constantly acting out and shy. We decided to pay a little more and move her to this school and that is when the magic happened. She completely transformed and started to enjoy and look forward to going to school. They taught her manners, confidence, routine and within 6 months she was actually reading sometimes short sentences. The Jolly Phonics program they have is a fun way to learn reading and writing. The teachers are organized and love to teach. They also teach about the weather, nature, calendars, music, art, French and lots of play time starting at 3 years old. My daughter now has confidence to ask questions and raise her hands, loves to read story books and can tell you the life cycle of butterflies, frogs and name all the days, months and seasons of the year. She can actually point to a leaf and tell me what tree type it came from. The last thing I want to clarify is that this school has nothing to do with Scientology or any other idea and I have no idea how that rumour started. It is just a good Canadian school with relaxing atmosphere and updated learning techniques.

I usually never writes reviews, but I had to do this time so since 2022 since the appointment of the new principal (Charmain) and pre K director (kayla) 2021 and accountant(Marquuxe) “who I am not sure that even she has any degree in accounting, (my 2 years old can do better math then her) and despite the disrespect to lot of parents, she basically unable to put a bill together clearly”. things started to go downhill. They don’t listen to you they talk over you they do a lot of promises never deliver, even though they charge premium $$$ for the school. The teachers over there are highly qualified no complains about them. I have three children in there already, but the administrative part of the school is unprofessional, unhelpful, and it feels they really never on same page when you talk to them. for example, the administration staff give their own children and their friends’ children, and their relatives’ children more attention discounts extra care etc. Meanwhile, for other kids treatment is totally different, their own kids can swear, be rude, even hit the teachers, but other kids should be perfect, even tho all my kids are well respectful kids yet it feels unfair for the rest of the kids to be treated differently, I only wish the owners of the school can investigate deep into that. Administrative honestly is the worst in anything I have ever dealt with in any kind of services in anything, since these people became in it. The hypocrisy is very obvious. We pay $$$ you don’t care about little kids who might need a little bit of help but your own administrative staff not teachers have special treatment if this is not tyranny I dunno what tyranny is. Also classes been totally big so not much attention to each student as it used to be before.

We are incredibly happy with Progressive Academy and the programming being offered to our daughter in Junior Kindergarten. The class sizes are small which has given our daughter the one on one attention that she required to break out of her shell socially, and the confidence to excel academically. The school has amazing, loving teachers, whom my daughter absolutely adores, and we consider ourselves very lucky to have gotten to spend our first year in Ishani’s JK class. There have been so many fun and diverse celebrations throughout the year that we are always invited to attend, and this has given us the opportunity to get to know the other parents, students and staff. We look forward to Senior Kindergarten next year and many more years with Progressive Academy ahead!

This is a very well worth it Education System. Class sizes are small, it’s uniform, they prep you for life. They had my daughter reading at a grade 12 reading comprehension level when she was in kindergarten. They had amazing talent opportunities and did not spent school money on their benefit. They used it for helping students in their education endeavours. They also have mixed children which was the reason I found them in the first place. My children are half Asian, my son looks full Asian. And tempo was high rated but all a bunch of white children. I felt my son would feel out of place and I didn’t like that. I love progressive for having such a race mix the children were all amazing, the field trips were so awesome. The school doesn’t leave any child behind, leaves no gaps in knowledge, they have payment plans for monthly payments instead of yearly tradition. My children learned and took a lot from this school with them to bring them success in life.

My review specifically focuses on the current PA Pre-K program. Initially, the program was excellent - until 2021, but unfortunately, it has experienced a significant decline since then, coinciding with the appointment of Kayla as the new program director. In my experience, Kayla has demonstrated a lack of respect towards parents and has shown a tendency to label the children, which is concerning and has had a negative impact on the program. One incident, in particular, greatly bothered me. There was a safety issue involving a child requiring emergency assistance, and instead of addressing the situation appropriately and providing feedback to parents regarding safety improvements, Kayla dismissed it as an accident. Furthermore, she displayed an aggressive and impolite attitude when discussing minor mistakes made by the children with their parents. This behavior only exacerbated the situation and left us with the impression that she enjoys creating unnecessary trouble for parents (I don't want to say, but it is very Karen.)Moreover, I have reservations about Kayla's educational background and qualifications to manage a team of highly educated teachers. While the program's teachers remain commendable, hiring an underqualified director like Kayla reflects poorly on the reputation of the PA Pre-K program and makes it less appealing to parents. We enrolled our children in the PA Pre-K program because we believed it offered more than a regular daycare program. If Kayla only has experience as a daycare provider and lacks experience working in childcare or school management teams, it raises concerns about her communication skills, experience in dealing with young children, and fair and sound approach to addressing incidents and behavior problems.Due to the negative experiences we encountered with Kayla, we made the decision to withdraw our younger child from the program. Unless there is a change in leadership and Kayla is replaced, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend the PA Pre-K program to any of my friends or local community. It is my hope that the program promptly addresses these issues for the sake of its students and the community's perception of its reputation.
