I had the pleasure of completing the SSI instructor training course at Groundhog Divers with Bruce, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I have also purchased equipment from him, and he always went above and beyond to get me my gear on time and at the best price possible. I always enjoy walking into the shop to say hello to him, Yvonne, Korhan, and Nathan. This is a top tier dive center that I highly recommend.

Wow! I went to Groundhog Divers to buy a battery - but while I was there, I mentioned that I wasn't happy with a prior snorkel fin purchase. The owner pleasantly surprised me by giving me a better pair for free. That is service! Thank you Bruce.

Absolutely fantastic! Nathan’s expert advice and instruction is amazingly thorough without pressure or judgement, it was a great experience. And an on-site pool too - fabulous!

My wife and I have been regular customers for the last 10 years. We find the store and the staff to be very reliable with a reasonable turn around time on things like air fills and tank/gear servicing.We have purchased quite a few items over the years; tanks, regulators, accessories, and a brand new custom fit drysuit for my wife that was at a good price point and made up and ready for pickup within only a few weeks. Staff are always quick to provide advice and information in order to make sure you're getting the right product.We also had the privilege of completing our drysuit course through Groundhog Divers. The onsite pool was incredibly convenient and meant we could take our time getting the feel of things. The open water portion went smoothly and the instructor was very professional and had a lot of skill and wisdom to pass on.Overall, if you're looking for a dive shop that can do it all (gear, servicing and training), you can be confident that Groundhog Divers will be able to take care of your needs.Edit: I would also like to add that my (and my wife's) experience diving with other members of the Groundhog Divers community has been a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Everyone has been friendly and welcoming and ready to offer up ideas and advice (especially some of the well-seasoned highly trained guys/gals) to make cold water diving in our local Great Lakes Region more enjoyable!

Great place to get your diving certification - they have a large range of quality equipment and very flexible scheduling. The staff and instructors are professional, friendly, and obviously passionate about the sport/teaching. Definitely give them a try!

After deciding to finally get certified I did some research for local dive shops. They all looked great but I decided to go with Groundhog Divers mainly because they have their own pool and regular access to a local quarry for diving. I’m a shift worker but they accommodated my schedule to complete my training dives. Very flexible! Bruce, Yvonne, and all the instructors are all very professional, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. They really made my transition into diving safe, fun, and easy. A pleasure to deal with!

I've been going to Groundhog Divers for a year for equipment, training, service and fills and I've been consistently impressed. Bruce works really hard to find the best solution for you with no upselling and fantastic support. I've taken courses with several Groundhog instructors and all have been excellent. With local diving and trips Groundhog has built a really positive SCUBA community and I would recommend them to anyone.

My wife and i got our open water certification done here and the experience was top notch. Our instructor did a great job of teaching us, and we receive great advice and service from Bruce every time we go in. Bruce seems to really care that we have what we need and are outfitted with the right gear. Can't recommend Groundhog Divers enough.

Over the years Bruce and the Groundhog team have provided me with superb dive training and technical expertise. I've found that dive safety is always their top priority and they're keenly aware of the latest equipment/industry trends and requirements - a great resource!In addition I trust only them to service and repair my equipment!

Groundhog Divers is my go-to dive shop in Kitchener-Waterloo for dive gear, air and nitrox refills, and dive equipment servicing, mainly because Bruce owns and runs the shop. I have full trust in Bruce's decades of experience and expertise, and appreciate that he approaches all tasks and customer interactions with professionalism and integrity.
