I used to go here a lot because of the Monday / Tuesday special. The new owners have hiked up the prices so much that it’s just under $6 for a meal that competes with KFC’s Tuesday special. At $6 taxes it doesn’t make sense to go here anymore. Flavour isn’t as depth as before, still fresh hence two stars and not one. But the new owners are slowly running this place into the ground.

Absolutely disappointing. Just had my first and last meal from here. Firstly, they were out of dark meat except drumsticks. I ended up ordering 2 piece meal with drumsticks only. The combo came with box full of bland rock hard fries with no seasoning and 2 small drumsticks burried under them. The gravy was bland too. The worst thing, combo came with no drink. I paid $10plus for this horrible meal. The chicken itself was not so bad though. But never going back.

Buyer beware: Twice I’ve gone to this location and they don’t appear to carry any white meat… was told “no delivery” when I asked for a 2-piece white both last Thursday and today. All they serve IS chicken though - so how they are struggling to get actual chicken is a bit mind boggling to me.

The staff are careless with fulfilling your order. I ordered and was surcharges for it and even though the previous customer had to correct her for the same mistake, so imagine my surprise when I get home and see she's done the same thing with my order.ETA: I tried 1 fry and it was terrible!

Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. This place is one of the best fried chicken places in Durham. Service is really good too. Always fresh and tasty.

Stood in libe with 1 person in front of me for Over 8 minutes to be told white meant will take another 25 minutes. I went aver to jilibee and got my food in 5 minutes. This chain used to be good but I won't be returning

Ri the owner has amazing customer service. I had a minor issue and he and his team rectified the issue pronto.Needless to say Chick n Joy has the best chicken in Durham.

They keep hanging up when I try to call. Not sure if it is on purpose but if they are not open they should say it instead of just hanging up. Usually I have had a positive experience with this place. Maybe something wrong with their phones?
