I brought my wedding dress to Alison only about a month before my wedding as a previous seamstress had told me what needed to be done was impossble. I was extremely stressed about my dress not fitting properly but a friend recommended Manuel Mendoza Couture. Alison was able to fit me in right away and immediately put my concerns at ease. She knew exactly what needed to be done to alter my dress, I felt so confident in her abilities. I returned two weeks later to pick up my dress which fit perfectly. She is incredibly talented and I would recommend anyone in need of bridal altertions (or otherwise) to use her. Amazing, thank you!

I had my wedding dress altered here. Alison was responsive by email and was even more nice in person. She did a great job hemming my dress and knowing exactly where it should hit the floor. Alison also added a bustle so the train did not drag on the floor when I wanted to tie it up, as well as stitched the back so the straps of my dress could stay in place. I had such a great experience working with Alison, who provided alterations to my wedding dress this year. She came recommended by the place I bought the dress from, and for good reason! Alison is friendly and super knowledgeable, you can tell she is very experienced. She was also super approachable and responsive, and happy to give a quote/price range over email for the likely work needed. She runs a cute shop and doesn't hold back on suggestions and helpful tips (including where to add body tape for the day of!) - you will know you're in good hands!

Alison did so so so well! I was a little unhappy with the top of my dress when I first purchased it, but I showed her how I wanted it fixed and she nailed it. Alison altered my wedding dress (hemmed, raised the waist, and added sleeves) and a second reception dress (took in the waist and sleeves). She was very attentive and patient with me at each fitting to ensure we were on the same page about what I wanted. She and her team did a fantastic job with both dresses and it was a pleasure to work with her. Manuel Mendoza has always had a special place in my heart. I interned there when I was in university at KPU and ever since then I knew I would come back for my wedding dress. Alison is not only a great designer and seamstress but also a truly kind individual. When I got engaged I let Alison know and then we started on my dress. I was having a destination wedding in Spain in the middle of summer so I knew it would be hot so I wanted something light and flowy but also something non-traditional. Alison was able to find the perfect fabric that matched our wedding theme and flattered my skin tone while being light and flowy. We had a few fittings and the dress was ready on time for my trip (even thought I asked for some last minute changes). The team at Manuel Mendoza are like a family and really do make dress dreams come true!

Alison is absolutely top notch and always a pleasure to work with. We used her services for my brother's wedding and I was so impressed that I didn't hesitate to return for my own. She did some quite significant alterations to my dress, including adding sleeves, and altering the neckline. She also made a veil using the excess material from the dress' train. Everything she did turned out even better than expected. She is patient and willing to listen, and has a great eye for detail. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone!

Alison is so amazing. I had my wedding dress made in Europe but there were some things I had to tweak once it arrived. With only a month to go until my wedding, I was panicking. When I met her, she was calm and assuring, in the end I had a fitting a week later (it fit perfectly after all alterations!) And walked away with it 2 weeks later ready to go. She worked within my timeline. She's a professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alison to anyone for any type of attire. She's professional, fairly priced, and does amazing work.
