Service was spot on, fast and friendly. The beer on tap was tasty. We had the Fish and Chips, one of us with a salad and one of us with sweet potatoes fries. The salad had tasty pickled red peppers and the sweet potato fries came with the most amazing curry sauce I've ever had. Definitely recommend.

Arrived without a table at the window, and were seated against the wall. Within 5 minutes, a seaside window table opened, and we were granted our request to move. Nice!Bread and butter came quickly. Real butter (no margarine!) and tasty bread. We ordered appetizers; Shrimp in Garlic and Butter Sauce ($15), and Atlantic Seafood Chowder ($19).The shrimp was fresh, well cooked, and seasoned perfectly. A definite 8 out of 10. The chowder was full, rich and contained large portions of fish, shrimp, and scallops. Again, a definite 8 out of 10!We decided on entrees of Haddock ($32) and Chicken Marsala ($29).Haddock was cooked to perfection! Light, creamy sauce, with a fluffy rice and grilled vegetables made the perfect dish. The Marsala was sweet, tender and plentiful. Mashed potatoes were fluffy, light and smooth.Service was impeccable! Waiter was kind, attentative, and made our evening perfect. Will definitely visit again, if in the area.Highly recommend on every level.

First meal during my visit to Halifax was at Salty’s! Conveniently located beside the Marriott hotel.Of all dishes ordered, my favourite is the Crab Cake! Steamed lobster is great too. Corn bread is worth trying. Unfortunately the lobster chowder didn’t live up to my expectation, there’s a good amount of lobster chunks in the soup however they didn’t feel as fresh as the steamed lobster.

I started with their stuffed mushroom caps which were delicious! Lots of cheese, only downside was that the mushrooms are very, very small and you only get about 6 of them which wad a bit much for the price (15$ CAD)My main was the oven roasted chicken marsala, which was just about average, it was everything chicken should be though I found the taste to be plain.Dessert was amazing, lots of options, I cant remember the name of what I had but it was a heavy chocolate mousse of sorts. It is pictured below.Being someone who cant eat seafood I found they had plenty of diverse and delicious options while still heavily supporting their sea options.Hostess was very fast, welcoming and kind, server was funny, explained every dish and was super sweet. Sorry you two for missing your names! 5 stars for servers, but one subtracted for the main.

The exterior of the building is deceptive as to the culinary masterpieces that await you upstairs. After being greeted by delightful staff and seated you are offered a complimentary starter of bread with whipped butter. Note,as we did not attempt it, should I ever return I would be tempted to use half of the butter between two wedges of bread it was so airy & delicious. We opted for a corn bread starter, with you guessed it, more of that whipped butter. The Atlantic seafood chowder had HEALTHY chunks of meat, scallops, crab, shrimp to name a few; it was perfectly seasoned. My main meal was the lemongrass infused butter poached halibut over lobster risotto. It was beautifully cooked and completely delightful. The portion was well suited to the plate and my appetite.Salty’s is a must if you’re after fine dining in Halifax.PS, to the waiter in training, we loved ya! Thanks for laughing at our teasing you.

Great seafood at Salty's.If you're looking for a restaurant with top-notch seafood, Salty's is the place to be! Their lobster is simply the best, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. And if you're a fan of Halifax, you won't be disappointed with their selection. But Salty's is not just about the seafood. Their desserts are equally amazing and provide a perfect end to your meal. With a great atmosphere, it's a fantastic place to spend time with your family, and the prices are decent too. In fact, considering the quality of food and service, the prices are very reasonable. The best part? The prices for alcohol are super decent, so you can enjoy a great drink with your meal without breaking the bank. Overall, Salty's is a great choice for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The delicious seafood, great desserts, and affordable prices make it a must-visit restaurant.

Was recommended by a few people to check out Salty’s. It’s in a great location right by the water.I really enjoyed the seafood platter. The lobster and butter was incredible! The beer battered fish was also some of the best I’ve had.My girlfriend really loved the crab cakes. This was exactly what she was was craving and they really nailed it.The lobster roll was pretty good however the butter croissant really takes away from the flavour. The croissant really over powers the lobster and that’s all you end up tasting.I was impressed with Salty’s and would return for the fish and chips 100%
