Nice hotel, good location with working distance to most attractions in St John's. We stayed here for 7 nights, very satisfied with the facilities, enjoyed the gym and swimming pool. After a day touring, soak into the Hot tub, then sauna, you feel relaxed and refreshed. The hotel service is good, warm and kind reception. We also had a dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious.

I attended a small convention there. The rooms were spacious and well lit. The hotel provided a comfortable and unobtrusive venue for the event. I didn't stay in a bedroom, so I can't comment on them.

Room was clean. Hot tub wasn't the greatest experience. Temp was just warm, timer for the pressure jets worked, but they never turned on. Food was ok I had steak. The mask potatoes tasted off. I was a little put off when arriving. I had mentioned it was my husbands birthday and no one wished him a happy birthday. Phones were ignored for about 20mins before my arrival. Couldn't get anyone to pick up. When they finally did, was put on hold so long it rang back to them and no answer again. We finally got to someone who was a bit saucy.. we need the pillows changed because of my husbands allergy. When we arrived we almost didn't check in they are very stricked on their id policy. I wanted to use mine because my husband forgot his....imagine if we were from far away and couldn't conveniently get a id. After all said and done they finally excepted a photo of his id. Over all service and hotel is so so. Maybe my expectations are to high.

Dear Ken Richards,I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service that my family and I have received on more than one occasion at your restaurant.The first incident occurred during Christmas brunch when we were served by a waiter who was both flippant and rude. Not only did this ruin our dining experience, but it also left us feeling disrespected and frustrated. My friend’s family has been coming here for over 20 years, and this experience has lead to them wanting to change this multi-generational tradition to a different location next year. I find that to be quite sad and unfortunate.Another incident occurred when we came in after a long day of Christmas shopping. We had several bags with us, one of which was a wrapped up box of gourmet cookies that clearly looked like a present. We smiled and greeted the server for a couple beers, and was quickly told by her that we cannot be here and “need to get rid of that box”. She shared a policy of not having outside food in the restaurant and compared an obvious expensive looking box of cookies to an opened Tim Horton’s coffee (which we otherwise would understand). I do not expect exceptions, but her incredibly rude delivery, lack of common sense, and sense of hospitality was quite shocking and unacceptable.I have been an investor and a loyal guest of this hotel group across the globe and these experiences have left me feeling disappointed and questioning its quality and management capabilities.That said, we must applaud the exceptional service of Fabian. He truly made me feel welcomed as a first-timer to St. John’s. I would have been disappointed to have the other servers be the only ambassadors for this otherwise super friendly, family-oriented city.I’m happy to connect if you need more details on servers and incidences.Thank you

I was a regular and a true fan of this location for many years. Sadly, my staying this week resulted in looking for a new Hotel for my future staying. The parking lot is an absolute nightmare and inconvenience. I'm going to spare you all the 4 times I tried to get in and out that made me almost being late from meetings. The restaurant is no longer there which would have been lovely to know so I wouldn't invite my team to meet me there for dinner only to find out it doesn't exist anymore, only a bar lounge. We couldn't get a table in town, so we ended up walking for 20 min to find dinning options on a busy Thursday night. On the last day of my trip, I parked outside the parking lot because there was no place to park. I wanted to take cash out of an ATM machine from the lobby to gift the service desk to help me with my laugage to the car. The machine didn't work. There was no sign on it. I made special arrangements to have someone to come by later to gift the staff for helping me. Needless to say, this was the most inconvenient staying I had experienced, and unfortunately, I won't be returning anytime soon.The rooms were clean and the staff was amazing. None of this is their fault. If it wasn't for the staff I would give 2 stars.

From the moment I walked through the front doors into the lobby, until my departure, the experience was amazing. All staff were so friendly, courteous and helpful. The meals in The Bivver Restaurant were scrumptious ~ I enjoyed every bite-full! The servers were very welcoming, efficient and knowledgeable ~ it made a pleasure to dine there. My room was spectacular ~ it was spotless and absolutely immaculate ~ and I had stunningly views as well! Housekeeping is exceptional.

Good friendly service. Nice hotel - the atrium looked nice. Gym and pool in good condition, clean and well equipped.Our room was clean and well appointed although the carpet was due for a cleaning.Overall a little pricey but still good value and a quality stay.Would go back.

Great hotel, clean and close to downtown St John’s. The restaurant had okay food and prices. The harbour view rooms are absolutely stunning.The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Rooms were clean and large.If you are staying in St John’s I would highly recommend staying here.
