Hot Yoga Markham

I’ve been to many yoga studios pre-covid but I never found a home studio that I felt comfortable like what I have found here.At first visit, the owner Jinjin was very welcoming and made herself available to any questions and open to any feedback to ensure my satisfaction.Since then, almost a year ago by now - I’ve been coming back and loving all the instructors and variety of classes and focuses that is offered here. Teachers help with your practice and care to see your progression and growth. I love that there is such a range of experience in their students as well; you don’t have to worry about fitting in and just focus on your own progress and practice.The facility is always clean, has 5 showers in the women’s change room and a wide vanity making it possible for me to squeeze in a class before work and get ready for work without a trip home.The trial promotion to try hot yoga was a great way to experience multiple classes and instructors, it’s a no brainer!

For over 5 years I’ve been studio-hopping trying to follow a handful of quality yoga teachers in the area. Finally I’ve found the studio I’m going to be staying at. I’ve been practicing at Hot Yoga Markham for a couple of years and every teacher is experienced and dedicated. They helped elevate my yoga practice to the next level and they always cater to each practitioner personally. The studio is always super clean and lockers are available for personal items. The staff are friendly and professional as well. This studio is like a second home to me now and I’m so happy they’re opened again after the lockdown!

I have been going to different yoga studios in Toronto, this is one of the best and highly recommended, Location is perfect, ample parking and loads of good restaurants nearby, The Yoga space is immaculately clean, Yoga instructors are very accommodating and highly skilled, the owner Jin Jin is very compassionate , kind and attentive to her customer's needs. 5 stars for sure!

Great studio! Clean and friendly. All the instructors are top quality and very well trained. Jin jin is amazing and always adding new classes to meet the needs of clients.

Warm inviting and spacious studio. All guests are greeted warmly by either the personable and professional front desk staff or on many occasions, Jin Jin the bubbly and engaging owner of this establishment. After changing in the well equipped and clean change rooms, it is a short stroll to the spacious, light filled warm studio. I have taken 3 different types of classes including pilates, deep stretch and intro yoga. The instructors are all extremely strong and knowledgeable but also interact and inspire all members to get the most out of their practice. Meaghan and Wenli are dynamite. Well worth the monthly fee as there is no other studio that offers the facilities, ambience, engagement and professionalism of Hot Yoga Markham. Great work Hot Yoga Markham team!

Seems like a nice yoga studio but management is unprofessional. I was supposedly hired last year as a receptionist but the owner only wanted me to fill in for one of the other receptionists on vacation and failed to communicate that to me. As a result, she told me she didn’t need me anymore after about 3 weeks. No paperwork was signed either regarding employment which also indicates the unprofessional nature of this establishment. The owner JinJin, although nice at times was also a bit rude when training me and made personal comments about how young people don’t know how to do things properly these days. While I unfortunately did not have the pleasure of attending classes at this establishment (which I’ve heard are incredible and I would have loved to take), I now have no interest in trying them out and will not be recommending this place to others. Treat your workers better, Hot Yoga Markham!(In response to owner’s reply): As a young worker, it unfortunately took me some time to recognize that what I experienced at this establishment was unprofessional and completely unacceptable. Also I want to acknowledge some elements of your response - paying a person for their services is the LAW. Just because you paid someone for their services doesn’t mean you wipe your hands and cease to take accountability for your actions. You can pay someone all you want but if you mistreat them, that’s unacceptable.I also don’t think the rudeness I encountered was a matter of a language barrier. I understand that that is sometimes an issue, but I distinctly remember JinJin telling me “You’re a 19 year old girl, you should know how to mop”. Not only is this enacting both ageist and sexist sentiments, but was incredibly unprofessional and had nothing to do with a language barrier. I would recommend staff understand what age-related discrimination is and learn to apply it to create a better environment for workers. Had this happened today it would have definitely been addressed immediately. Additionally, the lack of professionalism in other areas (for instance no paystubs or records of my hours worked made available to me were provided) would incline me to report this business to the Ontario Ministry of Labour.I appreciate you wishing me love and light in my life but I actually think this is something you need more - love and light must also be contingent on how you treat others no matter how old they are.Once again, treat your workers better and learn the the labour laws Hot Yoga Markham!

Such an amazing studio!It's always clean and has a really nice vibe to it.It's also very quiet and I always leave relaxed.I love all the instructors, they're so professional and know what they're doing.I came as a beginner and I already see so much improvement!Definitely a hit spot if you love yoga :D

I started yoga 8 months ago at hot yoga markham and this is the most positive environment with instructors that coaches us on a personal level. The owner , Jinjin , treats her members like her own family. Leslie and Cheryl’s classes are amazing.. this place feels like my second home and fellow yogis feel like a big family. Thank you , Hot Yoga Markham.

Thank you Kyle for a smart & well thought Hatha Flow yoga class. I’ve been practicing yoga for few years, in the beginning I had very shallow Knowledge about hot yoga as just a fast losing weight exercise. Until last year after Covid, I’ve restarted practicing yoga until now, I’ve been experienced & benefited whole new level of the well being of whole body & mind from yoga practice.I’m very thankful to meet the instructor Kyle who teaches a full body, well balanced & comprehensive yoga class, through belly breathing technique to connect to yoga poses, achieving full body relaxation, stretching, flexibility & strengthening. In addition, with hands-on pose adjustments.After every class, I’ve sweated and enjoyed a lot without exhaustion. Thank you Kyle so much and thank you Hot Yoga Markham !
