I got the Singapore rice noodle chow mein and it was awesome. So was the sweet and sour pork and house special chop suey

Our visit here was an accident when 2 other places were too full to seat us. I am SO glad! They have a phenomenal vegetarian combo!!! Hands down, best Chinese food we've had in a loooong time! The tofu is absolutely fantastic! My partner wanted lemon chicken sans chicken, and it was no issue to get lemon tofu instead.Service was great too! Super friendly, prompt, and engaging.The only downfall is that we live 10 minutes away and will be ordering out a LOT now! Good problem to have

Highly recommend, it's been too long since I had quality chinese food! I bought the vegetarian combo, which makes a perfect dinner for 1. Wonderful combination of flavours and a good portion, made the end of the day that much better. And on top of the food, the staff were a treat to deal with.The one improvement I would make is clear labelling of vegetarian and vegan options with icons, such as V and VT. Gluten-free is already labelled this way which is great, and having obvious choices would make it an even better stop for vegetarians.

We have been ordering take out from here for about 8 months. Food is delicious! However, the past couple times the orders have been taking an unreasonable amount of time (over an hour) considering I call in right when they open. Tonight was the worst. I called in 7 minutes after the phone line opened. After waiting for an hour and 25 minutes, I called in to check in on my order. I was told they were extremely busy.....and they hadn't started my order yet but would try to go as fast as they could. I found this unbelievable because I called in so very early. The lady apologized and said they had orders that had to be ready at a specific time. Huh? So if I don't say a specific time I may have to wait 2 hours for a couple of personal combos?!?!?! When I placed my order I was not asked if I required my food ready for a certain time. If I had been given that option, I would have requested it within 30 minutes. I am dumfounded that my food was likely going to take over 2 HOURS. Bad business and poor management. At this point, I cancelled our order because waiting any longer, and for an unknown amount of time, seemed really ridiculous. I feel like we could have waited well over 2 hours. I've never waited this amount of time for take out nor for dining. Can't say we are going to order from here again. Unfortunately. Very disappointed.Update: Called Canton. Ordered 4 main dishes. Was told order would be ready in 25 minutes. Double Happiness - UNREASONABLE. Canton - REASONABLE. Get it together Double Happiness.

Amazing food and service! The staff were very friendly and the food offering for a vegetarian combo was excellent. They even did a lemon tofu custom for us! Definitely will be back often.

Double Happiness Restaurant
Ordered some beansprout chowmein and 2 veg eggrolls. Chowmein was ok, a little heavy on the pepper or Chinese 5 spice and lacking in other areas but it was ok. Eggrolls were bang on with good kick to them. Costs were on par with the surrounding areas competition and service was quick.
