Stokes- Kings Crossing

I usually don't write reviews for stores as I usually encounter very friendly and amazing customer service from other businesses in Kingston. However, the service I received from this location was embarrassingly awful. I had a set a knives put to the side as I had purchased some at the location in the mall, got them home and one of the knives did not fit in the assigned slot. I had called the stokes at the mall (the mall location closes at 6 and this one at 5), they put one aside for me. I go there the next day and they told me I must have called the other location as they did not have a set put aside for me. I know I called the mall as they close at 6 and the kings crossing closes at 5. I called well after 5. That's besides the point, as I am pretty easy going. I go to this location a day after. I go in and as I touch something I get angrily told to sanitize (due to COVID) very fair, however! the hand sanitizer was well above my sight on top of a shelve to the right of the entrance where other glassware was being displayed. It blended in. All other stores that I have been too in Kingston display their sanitizer a few feet from the entrance at eye level or below on a table. I understand due to COVID store layouts need to be changed for proper spacing however this store was not accessible to anyone with a mobility aid. Regarding the customer service I received. I was not greeted friendly, the attitude of the sales associate (I think manager) was more of What do you want" I told her I had knives set aside for me she asked my name and told me to wait in line rudely. I waited in line for a bit and was greeted by the cashier with "Oh it's you again" Pardon? I've never been here and if you're referring to the sanitizer incident

Would have given them no stars if I could, no acknowledgement when we walked in the store, no assistance while in the store, and it seemed like we disturb their personal conversation. It's acceptable if it's one employee who's helping another customer but there was three employees and no other customers in store. Left without purchasing anything because I was disgusted with the customer service. Do not recommend this store.

OMG I could buy this whole freaking store but I have found my experience looking at the products that they have on for liquidation 50% off I can still find it cheaper on Amazon stuff is really friendly and I love the store but when it comes to pinching my pennies I'm gonna shop around

We stopped at this stokes to buy a table top curling game. Our kids saw over the holidays another kid had one and wanted it. Both our girls are curlers. We are from Ottawa passing through. The product was sold out on the floor. Stokes just received a shipment but was on skids still. Andrew went above and beyond with great service and was determined to find the product for our girls. Andrew did not let them down. Thank you Andrew.

A visit to this location ( KIngston, King's Crossing) was limited by an very strong perfume being worn by the manager of this outlet. Stock looked interesting, but one of our group was unable to stay due to nausea induced by the overpowering. scent. She spent the rest of the day struggling with the migraine that followed.While most retail locations, hoapitals, libraries, yoga studios etc. are aware of this problem ( the powerful adverse effects of strongly scented shampoos, body creams, perfumes etc.) and have taken steps to limit exposure in their stores, the Kingston branch Manager seems to stand defiant....Who does not know of this concern and take steps to limit their use of strong scents. Perhaps this woman believes she is exempt?How difficult is this to resolve ? Is this an attractive shopping locale ?Please, talk with this manager.

Not sure why this place is so lowly rated, so throwing this in. Always a great selection + the service is excellent. Hit the liquidation section everytime we are passing by, easy access off of the 401 + right next to a Tesla Supercharger.

I was at stokes today at King's Crossings location and had a great experience.Jessica helped me a lot and made sure all questions I asked were all answered.She did an amazing job!Thanks again Jessica!
