Fraser Heights Duck Pond Park

Have visited occasionally over the decades, it was much more picturesque before the beaver moved in and drowned most of the trees surrounding the pond. I think it's gone now. The beaver-proofing fences have cut off access to much of the pond now. There's a pair of Canada geese that have made this their spring home for several years, they're nice to watch. Every time I visit I have to cleanup litter for 15 minutes just to make it bearable though.

Comparing this pond with the north creek duck pond I would say this pond is a little bit smaller than the other one and the number of ducks average around 3 to 5 per visit whereas the other one has around 200 during the summer. Also, if you are a berry lover, make sure to check out the blackberry bush.Sometimes the vines reach into the water and you have to bring a swimsuit and pretend you are a duck in order to fetch the berries. However, this is a fun activity to do with your toddlers, although you probably want to put on a life jacket on toddlers, in case they have not yet learn to swim like the ducks.I like to come here when I crave Peking Duk
