Stayed here for 3 days. Staff was fine. They left us alone which was great. We had a dog, there was a charge for it but no issues. Check in was simple, price was fair. Overall great value for what we paid. Would stay again, I’ve paid more for less. Very clean, shower sucked though.

My kid and I needed to get away during the recent Montreal power outage, and we had a friend to see in Toronto. The Lord Nelson was perfect for an affordable stop. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. Hot water, reliable wifi! Good, natural light. It was an easy drive into Kingston to check out the town. This is a good value, good vibe motel, a perfect choice for people who just want a decent night's sleep. Our favourite part--the owners, a couple who recently took over the place. If you suffer from dry skin like me, get the body butter for sale in the lobby. It's made by the owners, and it's the best skin cream I've bought in a while. It's nice to see that real people can still run a business and do it so well.

If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay in the Kingston area this is it! It's a 2-star motel so don't expect it to be fancy. The room I stayed in was large, clean and comfortable. It had everything I needed and more. The staff were friendly, check in was quick and easy and checkout is a key drop. I would gladly stay again!

We stayed at this motel for a weekend in April and decided that this will be our go to place to stay when we visit Kingston.The room was very clean, did not smell of mold or mildew and all the amenities were there.With it being close to the hwy, it was quite easy to get anywhere in the Kingston area.Some nice touches in the room;- A Kureg machine with a choice of tea, coffee or decaf coffee or you could bring your own, with milk and cream in the fridge.- There was an ice cube tray in the freezer already filled up.- The T.V. moved, so you could angle it.The only downers were that the balcony wasn't in the best shape and the bathroom window did not open.I would definitely recommend this motel and we will be back.

My kids and I stayed here the other night and it was great! Very clean for a motel and I love that there's a balcony with a good view! Also, the room had everything we needed (fridge, microwave etc) and I liked that they had Netflix so my kids could watch their favorite shows! Also the decor was nice and they had a couple different sitting areas in the room which was great. Gas station next door and A&W is very convenient too. We will be coming to Kingston quite a bit for overnight trips and this will be our place to stay! Looking forward to coming back again.Thanks Lord Nelson Motel!

Nice, clean room, comfortable beds. We needed a place to sleep on a long journey, they accommodated a late check in with pleasure and the outdoor lights felt welcoming after a long day. 100% would stay here again.

Very clean, nicely updated, amenities were great and all new. Very close to where we needed to be. Staff very friendly, fast check in with no problem for checking g in early. Will be using this place more. The dog was happy also, lol. The price is the topping on the cake, very reasonable.

This place is an absolutely GEM!! We wish it was closer to home to we could make it part of other trips. On this trip (Colorado to Newfoundland) we stayed in MANY motels and this one really stood out. Super easy to get to, nice parking, a big room with lots of space and the kind of amenities you wish all rooms would have. The owners were ever so nice and the place was truly dog friendly. It is older, true, but that just added charm and individuality. We LOVED it. There is a gas station and 24 hour A&W next door. Quiet and super convenient.

I stayed here a month ago. Compared to other places that are 2 star ratings, this would be the cleanest of many. There’s renovations done (important to keep place bug free). I didn’t smell mold. There’s coffee (not all motels provide in room coffee). Smells cleaner here as well! From what I’ve seen, this is by far the best of many motels in the area. Always check reviews before booking. You’ll be surprised.

I stayed there a couple weeks back for a 1 night stay and I received an excellent service.I had informed them about my late check in and they were very organized in having the key ready.The rooms were very clean, I was initially doubtful if the area would be safe, but they had lit up the place with lot of lights at night on the outside and it felt more welcoming and safe.Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. No issues at all. Smooth check in and check out.
