Cocktails and Details Wedding + Event Planning

I hired Cocktails and Details at the beginning stages of planning my wedding and it was a great decision. Jenna has great taste in decor and works with amazing vendors in the city! Our wedding was in 2020 which meant it was impacted by COVID-19. Two weeks before our wedding we were still making changes and she always handled everything with ease and class!

Choosing Cocktails and Details was one of the best decisions that we made through our entire wedding process. Not only were her recommendations for vendors fantastic, but Jenna was AMAZING to work with and made the whole planning experience a stress-free one. Seriously…not once were we stressed about any aspect of our wedding. Oh, and did I mention that she planned our wedding in four months!!! It was truly incredible! Our wedding day went off without a hitch and we only have Jenna and her team to thank for that. If you’re deciding between several wedding/event planners, pick Cocktails and Details, you won’t regret it!

We hired Jenna and her team for month of coordination.Jenna was very personable to work with and she had great suggestions about how to organize our day, what types of decor to add to our list, and which items we could likely skip out on. She made beautiful centre pieces and she clearly has a great eye for design and decor, as she beautifully laid out all our decor at the venue.Jenna and Ashley also did an excellent job on the day of our wedding facilitating the timing of events (especially as we were running late).The feedback we have for Jenna is primarily around communication. There were times were she seemed too busy and so she wasn't using the most up-to-date email correspondence from us when communicating with vendors. There were also a few times that she said she would do something, and then we had to follow up with her later because it wasn't done. Throughout our correspondence with Jenna, it wasn't always made clear to us who should be doing what and when (e.g., who/when should we confirm details with vendors, who should be at final venue meeting, etc). Generally, we feel that Jenna could improve on setting expectations about what she expects from the couple she is working with and what they can expect from her.Overall, Jenna and her team did a great job handling the decor and providing tips and tricks leading up to the wedding. We ultimately hired a month of coordinator to help things run smoothly the month of the wedding, but we felt we had to coordinate with vendors more than we expected.

I cannot say enough amazing words about Jenna & Ashley! We hired Jenna to assist for our whole wedding planning process & wow I would not have been able to have the wedding day I did without either of them! Jenna has an incredible eye for detail & is always organized! She did a fantastic job of communicating in between all the vendors & creating an extremely detailed day of timeline that worked for everyone! I am a professional wedding + elopement photographer based here in Edmonton, Alberta. I recently worked with Jenna from Cocktails and Details to put together a styled elopement at the Alchemy Bar in the JW Marriott. Jenna put together the table set up, and planned for all the rentals etc. She did an absolutely stunning job and was excellent to work with. As a fellow wedding vendor, I recommend her 100%. We chose to go with Cocktails and Details for month-of wedding coordination for our recent wedding. I loved the fact that I could have freedom with my own wedding ideas, but also help and support whenever I needed it. After my first meeting with Jenna, I knew I had made the right choice! Even though I had gone with month-of coordination, Jenna made it feel like so much more than that. She helped me navigate the overwhelming task of choosing wedding vendors and decor selections, all the while keeping budget and my own ideas in mind. Jenna has a great eye for design, so having her help with picking out linens and rentals was a huge relief for me! The month before the wedding, Jenna was amazing in creating a detailed timeline and making sure all of our vendors were on the same page. We had a large wedding, so both Jenna and Alexis helped us out for the rehearsal and on our wedding day, which is where they both really shine. When your head is in the clouds with excitement and adrenaline all day, it is so important to have someone around to manage the schedule and make sure all the details are looked after. As the bride, you don't need to do that, and neither do your family or friends! I would not hesitate to recommend Cocktails and Details to any bride considering a wedding planner. Worth every penny!

Cocktails and Details were so wonderful and made our wedding so stress-free and unforgettable; we were truly able to enjoy every second of it. When our officiant cancelled last minute, Jenna ran with it and coordinated our rehearsal herself and then worked the day of the wedding to get our officiant committed again.She has such an eye for detail and really made our venue space look breathtaking. HIRE THEM! Jenna and her team are incredible, I can’t say enough good things about them! Even though we only had the month of package, Jenna always had time for my emails and questions. She attended our decor consult with Foundry and gave the kind of suggestions only a pro can bring, and it showed on our day! Our wedding was then passed to Alexis for the day of and she was beyond fabulous, no detail was spared. Her keen eye, calm demeanour and cool professionalism shined - even when we ran behind and had a hectic morning she kept me grounded and calm. She directed the reception decor and just nailed it, taking my bin of odds and ends and indecisiveness and creating magic. Hiring a day of planner was a non negotiable for me and was the best decision we made!

I purchased the Month-Of Coordination package from Cocktails and Details and it was hands down the best purchase of my entire wedding. Jenna not only did an incredible job working out the finer details of our wedding, but she and Alexis made sure my husband and I were comfortable and happy through the entire weekend. I honestly cannot say enough about the phenomenal service they provided. Every tiny detail that I'd overlooked was handled with grace. On the morning of my wedding, instead of stressing about where our wedding rings were or how our venue would look, I was having a dance party and enjoying my time with my friends and family. The whole day flowed perfectly. At no point was anyone wondering where they should be or what they should be doing. Jenna and Alexis were ON. IT. They also were genuinely great people to be around. I've never smiled so much in my entire life, and probably the hardest thing about my wedding being over is not having an excuse to hang out with Jenna!
