The Crunchy Canine

The Crunchy Canine and Katherine helped my Rose with pulling on the leash, jumping up, stealing stuff and chewing it to bits. I couldn't walk her because she was pulling and biting on the leash. So I was afraid to take her for walks. After 1 or 2 private sessions Rose was much more calm. Now, I can walk her nicely. Over just a few weeks Rose really matured. I can see the understanding in her eyes when I interact with her. She is relaxed and I can now let her have the run of the house (with supervision)I can leave food out and other tempting items and Rose doesn't touch them, or if she does, I say drop it and she does. She has also learned 'wait' and 'go back'. Those are useful commands when opening the front door. She waits by the door and doesn't lunge out the door.Katherine is very professional. and she has helped me after hours and in between our regular sessions.I highly recommend!!That one photo is Rose sitting comfortably, by herself, calmly relaxing by the patio door.The other is for cuteness.

We were looking for a trainer to help with off leash reliability and we ended up with some much more!! We did private lessons and Katherine was able to help us with so much: resource guarding, reacting at the door, the vacuum, and other dogs, crate training, loose leash walking, settling in public. We learned so much from our training, it has been a priceless experience. Even since we finished our training, they have remained accessible for follow up help. They were always punctual and open with communication. We've had such amazing results and are so glad we chose Crunchy Canine! Our boy even gets fun off leash time now!

This company is absolutely incredible. Within my first home visit i felt so much more confident with my wild child. After our private training sessions, i was able to take part in a mini group which helped me learn how to navigate being around other reactive pups and stay calm. They are so supportive, kind and most importantly honest.10/10 recommend for all your dog training needs

I did the freedom from the leash program with Katie with my pup, Lyric and absolutely loved it! I was able to start off leash hikes with her before she was a year old. Everyone with the Crunchy Canine is fantastic and I would highly recommend.

The whole Crunchy Canine experience was so incredibly valuable. Our girl Poppy is strong willed, reactive, and 75 lbs! A handful to say the least. Tracy was so friendly and helpful by suggesting and enrolling us in the Reactive Rover program. Lia was our trainer, and I cannot say enough about her skills and approach. She was incredibly patient with us and Poppy. The progression of the classes was appropriate for our learning AND for Poppy’s (each week we faced a new challenge). She taught us the skills to manage Poppy’s reactivity but also stressed the importance for advocating for Poppy when she is in stressful situations. We learned so much in session and no question or action was judged. We truly are so grateful to Lia and look forward to the drop in classes and hopefully the recall program too! Training with Crunchy Canine is 100% worth the investment for your furry family member.

We have had a great experience with The Crunchy Canine. Our puppy Barley was struggling with some of her obedience, and The Crunchy Canine offered a more structured program, and we have seen a very positive change in her behaviour. We are excited to continue their methods going forward and join in on some Agility classes in the future!

Just finished the Reactive rover program this week for my almost 5 year old dog and I am so grateful for everything our trainer Lia has taught us. We feel so much more confident going forward with the tools and knowledge we got from the training sessions. Thank you to the Crunchy Canine team and especially Lia for everything!!

Crunchy Canine is such a great place to take your dog for training. They are always so helpful and informative and their love for ALL dogs is so strong. We brought our goofy, energetic doodle their for level 1 training and look forward to bringing him back for level 2 and one day for freedom from the leash. Not only do they provide great training, but you also have access to their Facebook group where they also provide other helpful tips and reminders which is fantastic as training never really ends. You get what you put in. Everyone is so kind and patient. Our Cooper also adores Tracy and his walks. Thank you to everyone at Crunchy :)

We signed up for the Perfect Pet Program for our Bernese Mountain Dog Puppy and are SO happy that we did! Training in our home and neighbourhood was super helpful, and having it be one on one allowed for us to really focus on our concerns. Katie was fantastic, super patient and hands on. She was always a text away if we had any questions and always followed up our sessions with an email containing information about everything we had worked on that day. We would definitely recommend Crunchy Canine!

Truly appreciate all the training we've gone through! I totally recommend doing private in-person lessons, as I think the solo time really helped our pup.I specifically had Lia, who was spectacular. Listened to all of our concerns, helped us get through them-- was extremely understanding when I was sick and had to reschedule a few times.I would 10/10 recommend this service and this specific company because of the elite experience/knowledge given to us that we'll be able to pass on to our dog and any other future pups.
