Right off the bat, this place is not what you expected. The building alone is super unique. When looking closer, you dont really feel like this is a place for food at all. There is odd bridal decoration placed in the front of the windows making it oddly confusing for customers.Doesn't feel very welcoming. What I thought was customers was actually staff. they just sit there and stare at you. Until we asked a male that looked like he worked there we had a reservation. Don't get me wrong though. He was friendly and was telling us about their menu.Demi Hy Tea $32What you get here is 3 savories dishes, scone, and 3 house made sweetsScone- this is actually done really well. the texture is crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside. There is a perfect balance of sweetness to this.Baguette + radish + guacamole + shrimp - Shrimp we fresh and guac was flavorful season withed lemon salt and pepper (basic guac is what im trying to say) No real wow factor here, just taste exactly how you will assume it tastesQuinoa Salad with fresh fruits - Really odd combination in my opinion, however, the quinoa salad alone by itself is actually pretty good, i think it was season with sesame oil to bring out the umami flavorsmushroom with truffle cracker - odd mix with tea. the mushroom truffle cracker is decent but not very suitable in this setting, the mushrooms were a little too wet.Creamy hazelnut cup? - This was pretty good, i would say this sweet dish separates itself from others, the texture was really smooth and creamy. Imagine eating the inside of a Ferrero Rocher. The cup holding it was well made as well and not flaky at allFruit yogurt? - Nothing special here, i think they were going for the Asian clientele of it not being overly sweet. But in reality just taste like a fruit yogurtmango pineapple cheesecake - this really stood out, Imagine outside being like a cheesecake and inside having a texture of biting into a sorbet. Really unique and enjoyable.Hy Team $38What you get here is 6 savories dishes, scone, and 4 house made sweetspretty much the same with the above with addition of the followingTaco with pork belly - really odd if you think about it, pork belly is overly fatty and the tortilla is soft and soggy, the veggies inside were overpowering and takes over the taste of the pork belly.Green Tea bread? with salmon - again really odd experience. the bread itself is good but combined with salmon? just oddEgg salad bread- exactly how it sounds... but toasted. so imagine buying the egg salad bread from 7-11 and toasting it. That's what you get.Macaroon- its really well made and the filling inside is match which gives it a blend of slight bitterness and sweetness of the pastry.Tokyo $18Grilled Chicken with ponzu sauce, poached egg on top of wild rice and some greens. taste really homecooked" nothing really stood out. The only thing that made it somewhat interesting for me was the poached egg. but again that just taste like poached egg.Seoul $18Slow cooked pork belly

Had their high tea experience for $56. Overall everything tasted really good except the desserts were too sweet for my liking. Also wished the milk tea was kept hot with a tea light candle as it became cold during the meal.

I would not be able to put into words how amazing Hy tea lounge team is . Unlike traditional cheese platter , they add some tasty desserts and my favorites croissants. All my guests were amazed by their work.Thank you

Dropped in for brunch and the food was better than I expected. I really liked the avo egg salad croissant sandwich. I also tried the fries and they were super crispy.Didn’t realize it was a restaurant from the outside. I thought it was a rental space and it was decorated like a wedding. Inside has an empty rental space feel. Like you can tell the tables and chairs are there temporarily. They also had a table in the middle of the space selling face masks which seemed out of place.

Honestly, this is the worst afternoon tea experience I have ever done. Don't get me wrong, the service was very good, all the workers were friendly, and the tea was actually so delicious, but that's all my group enjoyed. The menu online is VERY misleading. The items given to us did not correlate to what their menu indicates we would receive. Also, it seems like every day they give different things, since every picture of their afternoon tea looks completely different. Online it looks very appetizing and luxe, but what we experienced was very amateur, unappealing and kinda childish in terms of aesthetic. They provided scones that smelt like meat and we did not even receive butter/jam with them. Also, they brought us the sweets first and the savouries after. That's not how afternoon tea is meant to be enjoyed, your supposed to eat savouries first, then scones, then desserts. The sweets were decent, but the savouries, absolutely terrible! First of all, fries during afternoon tea? And they were ice cold. Also, they gave us croissants filled with blocks of cheese?, some weird crusted hashbrown, and a few other things. The only savoury that tasted good was the egg salad sandwich.Sorry to say, but for $56/person, this was an ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY.

I brought my friend from the state to this place , this building and the restaurant is quiet famous in Seattle somehow , we tried afternoon tea and whole lobster tail salad , and croissant sandwich. The salad dressing is sooo good , my friend keep asking to buy a bottle but unfortunately they said it was chefs secret recipe , so they ended up give us a container without charging . I appreciate that .

I really enjoyed my stay here. Already came back twice with my clients. We were very impressed with the selection and quality of the tea which is rare to find elsewhere. Their house-special cocktails are definitely one of kind. And not to mention, their servers are very welcoming and friendly.

Hy tea lounge catering service provided most of kids ‘ birthday celebration from our school — oakridge Montessori , the food is exceptional, the price is reasonable, the staffs are super kind. They also do decoration and birthday cakes , which really saved our energy . I would highly recommend them .

We did the Valentine high tea. Being a very busy day, they had teams assigned to various tasks. They planned this special day well and it showed. Food was delicious and was definitely more than enough for two people.
