New China Restaurant

Bland food. One dish was passable, the ginger chicken. The buffet was meager for an established restaurant. The prices were the only saving grace for them.

Had Chinese buffet. Food was okay. Service was excellent.

Didn't live up to expectations on the buffet, but we were the only other table so I have to give them credit. It's an extended family favorite and the take-out is always great.

It seems the Google user who wrote a poor review just caught them on a bad day. The food is excellent, all of my children loved the food there. We went back a couple years later and the food tasted just as great, if not better! Everything seemed to be cooked fresh, and the chef was very kind. I would give 6 stars if i could!

This use to be good but now is disapointing. They completely screwed up my take out order and refused to do anything about it. There are many great spots to eat in Nelson but this is not one of them.

Horrible! Worst Chinese food I've ever tried! Mall food court Chinese is better..... and that's terrible too.

Food was not what I'm accustomed to at a buffet. Poor selection and mostly tasted like it was warmed up.

I ordered plain chowmein and some vegetarian egg rolls. My girlfriend ordered the chowmein and fried rice for take out.The chowmein was in my opinion not good. The thick noodle were chewy and flavorless. The egg rolls however were awesome. Great flavor and size. My girlfriend said the fried rice was very good.Restaurant interior was very clean looking and looked professional. I would defiantly go back for some egg rolls but not the chowmein.

The all-you-can-eat is a case of quantity over quality, americanized means carrots & broccoli and too many noodles. The worst time was a ginger beef that was so gross, tasted like old meat and rancid oil, we didn't eat it, gave it to my neighbor who doesn't discriminate and it made him happy which kinda redeemed this whole deal. Having eaten chinese food in Vancouver, where most have veggies like bok choi and fungus other than money's mushrooms and sesame oil and bean sprouts... i don't understand why the places here don't use more authentic recipes, it's not like those kinds of ingredients aren't available here.I ask for sesame oil in the wonton soups and extra bean sprouts in other dishes when I get some take-out.
