In the 3 times I've visited in the past couple of years the staff has been consistently rude, condescending and downright hostile. Yesterday's visit, picking up part of my mom's quilting machine that had been misplaced by staff, was the icing on the cake. I will be hard pressed to go back again. It's just not necessary to be that nasty. Perhaps a new job would where customer service skills aren't required would be in order.

I went into the store with my husband yesterday and I was right away attended with so much unprofessionalism. There was no acknowledgment that I was there when I first asked for help. I asked about getting a bobbin case and 2 ladies behind the counter responded with some sarcastic comments. I was left to wait for one of them to finally attend me but first she had to finish writing in her book. Another lady came in and she was right away acknowledged and attended from one of the same ladies that was behind the counter when I arrived. I also wanted a part for my sewing machine and the lady that was attending me didn't make an effort to find me a substitute I was asking for. Instead she said maybe I can go to a thrift store and buy a cheap sewing machine and pull out the part from there. I felt I was attended by the color of my skin and not as a customer. I am never going there again.

I went to two other stores before stopping in here…They have SO many machines in this store! More than double of others I visited.BabyLock, Janome, Huskvarna Viking, and more!The variety and selection of stock is dazzling, and they have something for every budget, and hobby.I came in with a list of features and functions I wanted and they showed me some wonderful machines and I found one that was perfect for my needs, within my budget, and on sale to boot.I also purchased a serger that was equally qualified for the work I want to do and I literally cannot wait to get started!Jana took very very good care of us, was extremely knowledgeable about the machines, prices, accessories and even took the time to teach me to thread my serger properly, with patience and a wonderful attitude that was supportive. I didn’t feel pressured in any way. She had answers for every question I had. They had a great selection of notions, accessories, -everything a costumer like myself could need.I will undoubtedly be back soon for any supplies and advice I may need in the future.Both ladies were very fun to chat with but I seriously need to give a major applause to the customer service I received, and to this store for their fabulous selection.I am thrilled!Thankyou Jana and everyone at Sewing World!

As a new sewer .. just decided to delve in to the world of sewing .. I went in to buy a sewing machine and starter supplies. I received excellent service. They showed me a machine that was within by budget. Excellent machine by the way. The lady who cut my material was really friendly and helpful. They set me up with some basic supplies. They steered me in the right direction when choosing supplies, saving me a few dollars. I really enjoyed my experience. They earned a repeat customer. Well done ladies!!

This is a long overdue review, but my first experience buying here back in May was great! I wanted to buy a new sewing machine for a Mother's Day gift; Jana had helped me put the machine I wanted on hold when I had called in. Jana was also the one that helped me when I went to pick up the machine and she was so helpful and super nice!

Phoned to see if they carried a power cable/pedal for my Singer model. Service couldn't figure out which one I needed, and informed me I would have to come in and pre-pay for the cable (despite not knowing which one it was) and it would be $95. That's half the price of my machine that is 6 years old. They might be able to figure it out if I brought the machine to them.I called Singer directly, who sorted out which cable I needed and gave me the part number. Indicated that Sewing World *should* have been able to easily identify this based on the machine model, gave me the number of someone in Ontario if Amazon didn't have it online. Amazon did have it - for $25 - and it's genuine Singer, not a knock off.

They know their stuff! Nice easy atmosphere.

I was in recently to buy a coverstitch machine which was by no means cheap! But the machine is absolutely amazing, they were super helpful over the phone before I came in, and I also had a great experience in the store. I was helped by Janna, who was absolutely wonderful! She sat down with me and showed me how the machine worked and was just so friendly and helpful! If you are looking for a machine, this is the place to go. They have a huge selection of machines and accessories, and will make your experience in store a good one :)
