I contacted Andrew because of a referral from a trusted friend, though he (along with a couple of the reviews here) warned me that despite his savviness in the tax world his communication skills/online branding is very poor and has a history of completely ghosting clients. Unfortunately, these concerns were validated immediately.We set up a video consultation and discussed incorporating my business. I was impressed with his knowledge and answered all my questions. I later noticed the video call countdown was about to end, but he said if it cut us off I could log back in and continue chatting. But after it cut off, it didn’t allow me to re-join. I emailed both his email addresses right away to reconnect but he disappeared and made no efforts to reach out or respond. This was a red flag, but not the end of the world.The following week after completing the incorporation process on my own, I email him with some simple questions about next steps. No reply. I follow up the next day, no reply. 5 days later of radio silence, I call his office to try to get a hold of him as getting this done quickly was important for several reasons. His assistant answers and says he will get back to me, I express some frustration with his lack of communication but she says he’ll respond ASAP. I send another email followup 48 hours later, nothing. It’s now been over 3 weeks of routine followups and he has completely ghosted like he has the others in this review section, and the 3rd/4th call attempts I’ve made over that span all go to voicemail now.My assumption is this is because this preliminary process doesn't make him any money up front (free consultations, etc), but had he cared to respond to get things moving as a new business I would have hired him to do all my taxes indefinitely for years to come. Just a complete lack of courtesy and professionalism. Having read the reviews, I’m not surprised someone had to drive to his North York office just to get a hold of him. Considering this is November and not even tax season, I can’t imagine how bad this would get come the spring. Very disappointed.

Rude and unprofessional.Although Andrew Brown appeared to be knowledgeable, he failed to have a proper system to answer phone calls and emails in a timely manner.There were several occasions where I had questions on my tax return or tax matters and he failed to respond to voicemail or emails, forcing me to go in person just to have a questions answered.One occasion where I couldn't go in person, I booked a meeting through his online booking app and called rather than appearing in person. Not only was he late for the meeting (by refusing to answer his phone at the meeting time for 15 mins), he was extremely rude saying I was wasting his time" by calling during "prime time" where he could be making $600/hour. He yelled at me for booking an entire hour to have questions answered

My boyfriend had his taxes done here and has nothing but great things to say! Kind people despite the hassle of his name issue and having to spend extra time on the phone with CRA to figure it out. Will be coming back next tax season! Highly recommend
