Before hiring Catherine Stringer, we didn't see the need for an interior designer. We thought it would be too expensive and not worth the hassle. After working with Catherine we wouldn't change a thing about our experience with her and can't imagine going through another major renovation project without her. Her attention to detail and knowledge of space and object placement is outstanding. Now we notice when other houses didn't use an interior designer as they run into problems of noisiness, space optimization, and other things you wouldn't think about when renovating yourself. When shopping for furniture pieces often we would pick something we like and not think about the overall picture. Catherine has a vision in mind from start to finish and executes the finishing touches perfectly. We are overall ecstatic with our renovation and will be using Catherine again.

After our first meeting with Catherine she had asked me “Besides a wonderful design what are you looking to get out of this?” I thought this was a wonderful question and an opportunity to be totally honest with her. My response to her was this, “I would like to walk out of this renovation with a design that would wow me but more importantly I wanted the money we were spending on a designer to be the best money spent on the project.”We met with Catherine and spoke a few times about some of the things we liked and wanted to see incorporated in our new kitchen and main floor. She took our thoughts and worked her magic and delivered us a kitchen and main floor that blew our minds away. She was very conscious of our budget and our time as well. She put to paper a design that was practical, elegant and what we believe to be timeless. She answered all calls and questions in a timely fashion and was always clear and to the point. Not only did she utilize the space, she also put a lot of time and effort in the small tiny details that tied this whole project together. She got along with every trade that worked in the house and all trades had very positive things to say about her (which is rare to have trades and designers get along). We admired her work ethic and her integrity and her ability to put us the client before anyone else. Her ideas were brilliant and her drawings were impressive. We had received many comments on how precise and in depth her drawings were. What was most impressive was the ability to tie all these pieces in together and give a platform for our contractor to work with. She was extremely easy to talk to and worked well with our contractor. She even made arrangements to have us see some of the work and talk to previous clients of hers. This left us with a level of comfort that we chose the right designer for us. We have no issues recommending Catherine to anyone looking to do some renovations or design work.She went beyond the task. Not only did she deliver us a project design with wow factor it was truly the best money we spent.We get countless comments on how well and beautiful everything turned out.
