Our daughter got married in August at our waterfront property and Simon, Adrien and staff where fabulous!The food was exceptional and presentation was awesome. Some of our guests are real food critics and raved about the food choices we had and the quality/quantity of our selections.Created not Catered was exceptionally organized and the staff was super friendly to all our guests! If we host another special event like this, I'll definitely be calling Simon and Adrien.

I couldn't be more pleased with the experience we had with Created Not Catered. The menu selection was excellent. They were willing to modify recipes because of food allergies and the food was absolutely delicious! The wedding was at our home and they prepped and cooked all the food there. They were respectful and professional at all times throughout the day even though we were continuously in their work space". They had a great sense of humour and our guests had a wonderful time interacting with them throughout the event. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a caterer for a wedding or otherwise. Exceptional!"

Where do we begin: Chef de Cuisine Simon Telfer, truly delivers a first class menu. We first had the pleasure of using Created Not Catered for our wedding in August 2014 at The Holland Marsh Wineries. The entire process working with Chef Simon was nothing short of incredible.From the at home tastings with friends and family, meetings, countless emails, patience and reassurance- Chef Simon was first class.We know a thing or two about good food and so do our family and friends. So needless to say, serving excellent food at our wedding was on the top of the list. The menu that Chef Simon prepared and executed for our big day was over the top, exquisite and absolutely delicious. Every detail was thought of and delivered. He even accommodated family and friends who were Vegan/ Vegetarian; without them feeling like they were a last minute consideration.We were so thrilled with our wedding day; that we used Chef Simon again for my mother’s 60th birthday party in February 2016. We hosted a cocktail party served with exquisite Hors d'oeuvres; prepared by his truly, Chef Simon. Our family was so thrilled with the food; it made the night.We look forward to using Created Not Catered(Chef Simon) again in the near future for another special occasion.It is without a doubt we highly recommend using Created Not Catered for your next event. Our wedding July 8th 2017!Well, where do I start! Simon came to my rescue when my other cater went with another bride. Simon assured me he was available and that he would make it a day to remember. My husband and I went for our tasting at Simons house where Adrian and him blew us away with a menu that was better than I had asked for. We agreed right there that we wanted them for the big day. Simon and Adrian took care of everything from table, chair, cutlery and table cloth rentals for our big day. They hired staff to cater the day and even a bartender. The BBQ meal was outstanding and our guest still talk about it to this day. We couldn't have asked for a better cater for our big day. Thank for making it truly special. If I ever have a big even again I will for sure have to get them to cater it for me. Thank you so much!

Simon and his team recently catered our wedding at Stevenson Farms. We had nothing but a good experience with Simon and his wait staff. The food was top tier, the service was structured, but flexible, and our interactions with Simon to plan or make changes were always pleasant. We had a 30 person wedding at Stevenson Farms and Harvest Spa early October 2021.We contacted Simon about two months before our wedding to inquire about his availability at the recommendation of Stevenson Farms. He responded to us promptly and was more than accommodating of all requests. He sent us a menu package that was very customizable and two weeks before our event we sat down to discuss particulars.We decided on the beef, apple stuffed chicken and penne a la vodka for our vegetarian guests. Simon paid equal care and attention to all the meals. We had made special requests of Yorkshire puddings with the beef and milk with our cookies, as well as the manner which we wanted to cut and serve our wedding cake.No detail was too insignificant in our planning, and Simon brought forward ideas we never thought of that made our wedding run much smoother.Simon provided an entirely full serve, linens, plates, servers, set up and take down service. He also checked in via text as the event approached to ask if there was any further details, but had everything in hand. He showed a level of attention and care above anything we expected of our caterer.On the day of our event, Simon provided a wonderful meal, everything was handled for us. We were delayed by 20 minutes and they were flexible.The beef was extremely tender and melted in the mouth. The chicken was so flavorful, and the pasta was creamy and delicious.He also accommodated our young (children) guests with their own meal of Mac and Cheese, chicken fingers and French fries, and they were delighted and quiet all through dinner.Simon also recommended an elegant table service which was not overwhelming and provided a classy ambience to the wedding. His wait staff were a pleasure to work with, all through the day, and checked in with us to make changes when there were conflicts in our schedule, usually with a prepared solution that was more than acceptable and very considerate.They served our champagne (special request) immediately after the ceremony as we over, alongside delicious hors d'oeuvres, which left our guests well fed right from our ceremony on.There was more than enough food for everyone, which made for a happy event set by the tone of full stomachs throughout. Following dinner, my mom had made its a wedding cake, which after our photo op, Simon’s staff cut and plated for our guests.We had warm milk and chocolate chip cookies and a deli board around 10 which our late nighters appreciated.Simon and his staff cleaned up without being intrusive, and kept the tea and coffee full throughout the evening.We could not be happier with the service of Simon and his team, and would fully recommend Created Not Catered for any event in the future.They have set my benchmark for top tier catering service.Our wedding was held on Thanksgiving weekend, which other wedding services made an issue, but Simon never did. He and his team just provided an amazing service and never mentioned it was Thanksgiving. It was wonderful! No complaints whatsoever, I’d definitely do the same thing over again without hesitation. It was a triple threat: amazing taste, easy planning, and no stress!Thanks Simon!

Simon and his crew created a wonderful meal for our son’s and daughter in laws wedding last weekend. There was something for everyone and it went off without a hitch. He overcame extra challenges as this event was outdoors at the cottage and our garage was his busy kitchen.We’d highly recommend “Created Not Catered”!

My wife and I were married on Sept 22 at Stevenson Farms in Alliston and used Created Not Catered for our food. Working with Created Not Catered was a great experience. We picked a buffet style dinner with passed apps, desert, and late night snacks, and had plenty of options to choose from. Simon and Adrian were great to work with. Our advance menu tasting was a sample of some of the items we chose and was prepared for us at my parents home and made enough food for me, my parents, and my wife to try, which was unexpected and very appreciated. Adrian and Simon were very good at communicating via email, and you can tell they are very passionate about the work they do. There were a few hiccups in the planning but we sorted through everything.On the day of the wedding everything went smoothly and my guests raved (and are still raving) about the food. The only issue I had was that there was supposed to be a gluten free pasta option which was not part of the buffet. Otherwise I was very pleased and would recommend Created Not Catered to anyone!

Simon, Adrian and their team catered our wedding in 2016 and they went above and beyond our expectations. Throughout the entire planning process Simon and Adrian amazed us (as well as our families)- from the tasting dinner, to helping us pick details, to meeting us at our venue the month prior to help plan our set up. The day of our wedding, although we threw Simon a couple curve balls, he and his team were able to accommodate our needs without hesitation. We received many compliments from our guests on the food, and our wedding photographer even said it was one of the best catered meals she had all season. Overall we feel extremely lucky to have had Created Not Catered cater our wedding and would definitely recommend!

As way of background, my wife and I were recently wed this past August in a remote location on 120 acres with no running water or electricity. We loved the location as it provided us with a beautiful landscape and the ability to customize every aspect of the wedding. However this also resulted in a great amount of planning and set-up including, but not limited to, the following: ordering generators, fresh water, holding tanks, setting-up multiple tents, and building a remote kitchen on-site (including ovens, fridges, burners, shelfing, cutting tables, etc…).The reason I shared the above is that Simon Telfer was not only the Master Chef he also was with us at every step of the way to organize, review and help create our wedding. The wedding planning began approximately a year in advance and included regular update calls with Simon on vendors, scheduling and menu options (over 100 e-mails were exchanged). Simon was also on-site the week prior to the wedding to greet vendors, check orders and build the remote kitchen.Now onto the food (which is likely why you are reading this review), Simon did something most Chefs will not attempt, he prepared an extraordinary experience for approximately 200 guests in a kitchen that was built the week prior to the event. I am not a Chef, however being able to prepare even the simplest items in an environment that is uncertain, or otherwise just created, requires an immense amount of planning, the ability to work under pressure and the ability to adapt to items not running smoothly. All of these attributes were demonstrated by Simon.Our menu consisted:- Cocktail Hour:o Buffet charcuterie and cheese board, served with breads, pickles, olives and a variety of mustards. The presentation on boards was professional and the food was consistently replenished when requiredo East coast crab cakes & Mexican style meatballs-> these items were passed around to guests while they enjoyed the polo match. Items were served hot and in a timely manner. Also, the team made sure that plates were delivered to my wife and I as we were having pictures taken in the distance- First Course:o Baby spinach salad with fresh Ontario strawberries, crumbled feta and candied pecans -> this was a light dish and appropriate for an outdoor summer wedding- Main Course:o AAA of prime rib riblets (slowly braised in a red wine for 5 + hours) -> very tender dish, the meat fell off the boneo Chicken breast stuffed with cheese and spinach and wrapped in prosciutto > we did not have chance to try this dish, however received good reviews from the guestso Classic Ratatouille -> vegetarian option and widely appreciated- Dessert – In one instance it was adapted on the fly to a berry puree for a guest that had a lactose dietary restriction – great accommodation!- Late night poutine boxes -> the team could not make it fast enough (in a good way)!Weeks after the wedding we are still hearing positive feedback from our guests!
