the profit margins are huge!!! awesome way to profit big! have 2 employees,self checkout and sell used donated junk at high prices and low overhead! I want to buy shares! I went to purchase an item and the self checkout was not working correctly, so the manager let me know that I had gummed up my whole system and accused me of being a theif. Oh dear I guess I needed on the job training to shop here oops!

We found most of what we needed however, a man who I assume is the manager or supervisor of the place asked my spouse and I to step out in the freezing cold weather because they had gotten to close of business even when we had told him we were waiting for our Uber and we were with 3 little kids under 10yrs. We had to wait outside in that cold until our Uber came, no lack of empathy. Would definitely not be visiting anytime soon.

The lady at self checkout accused my mom just by look saying she would give her discount?!, my mom is only 45. I called the store and the manager just said “I’m sorry I would have to ask her to correct her behaviour” not cool at all

Went to get a blanket for my dog. They are used here. Average was 27 bucks. I asked if they would adjust their price to reflect current market deals. Hart and giant tiger have blankets new for 28 lol they said no. 2 people litterally walked business from their store. Unbelievable, that's some business model they have... it will be funny when this continues and they are forced to close..update. went to Walmart for a new queen for 20 plus tax. I'll shop deals b4 coming back here lol

Why has value village got expensive? The bibles for missions thrift stores are much cheaper. I do find cheaper items in this store from time to time. But not my first choice.

I posted a photo separately, because I can't add a picture here. Long story short, they are now charging more for things sold in store. In the picture you will see that the dollar store charged 3$ and they charged 3.99 for it. The product was very used on top of it and looked like it should belong in the trash can! That’s ridiculous!!! Also, the Lady that has an accent at the checkout is so rude and she is really obnoxious! We don’t even want to shop here any more. She follows everyone around and basically insinuating that people are trying to shop lift. I honestly have never seen any employee act that way with customers. If she did or ever treated me or my family like that she would be put in her place!! She needs to go in the back room and not have her anywhere near customers. All the other employees are so nice and patient they should get praise for that!!!! I miss the old days when value village had values and standards of conduct.

Always feels good to go to any value village. It's like a treasure hunt. You could always find something for you or your loves ones. Great idea to protect environment and use recycled products.

One of the larger locations I've visited is a well maintained store. Although I am sure they have their reasons to lock their washrooms, it's a pain to have to track someone down to open them. I suppose with the lack of change rooms, it stops some thefts in the washrooms.

The store forces you to use self checkout.There was three staff members doing nothing standing by the checkouts but only the self-checkout was open I asked to use the normal and was told that only the self check is open.Also one of the staff thought that it was appropriate to rub my young daughter's head took every inch of me not to snap on her.

Nice store. Self checkouts. Assistance given to do a return through self checkout, which I liked. Took 1 bag of stuff to donate, Taylor was very helpful. I got a 20%off card for my next visit.
