The best place for coats and alterations!! John was so friendly and helpful. I brought in a genuine leather coat that was too big for me and they did an absolutely amazing job altering/tailoring it. It's flawless. The turn around time was very quick and it was reasonably priced. I couldn't be happier, thank you for the fantastic experience!

they gave me a comphy coat that i use as napkin, it smells good i also bught a cape that make me fly like superman and im happy, why does no one like me my mom said im special, someone told me i have special needs but i dont need to be special i already am

I have had a wonderful experience with Coats by Mary Ellen.I emailed them to ask about sizing with a specific style of coat, and if it would be possible to mail it to me, as I live several hours' drive from Toronto. They could not have been more friendly and helpful, answering my questions by email, and then later on the phone when I called to place my order.Upon arrival, my new coat fit perfectly, and was even more stunning than in the photos online.I cannot recommend this business enough!

Fantastic experience! Bought one of his wool coats a few years back, and it's still just as stylish and warm as on the first day I wore it out on the town. I also bring in my leather winter coat for rips/tear fixes, and for a good de-salting after a brutal winter, and it always looks brand new upon pick up! Highly recommend!

He did not have my size on the rack so he made me one to measure - at the same price as off the rack!The final product was beautiful with impeccable craftsmanship (the stitching is flawless) and custom lining & buttons. I was looking for a tailor to fix a zipper on a sleeve for one of my leather jackets. Fortunately I was able to find a reputable tailor in the North York area. Jon was able to replace the zipper in two days, after we agreed on a price and timeline to complete the job. It was worth the drive from Scarborough to do business with this company!
