Memorial Park
This is a small park, dedicated to the men and women who've lost their lives in the various wars of the 20th century. It's clean, and full of winding paths leading towards (or away from) the YMCA. It's quite nice for family play, or to sit quietly with a book, or even reflect upon what it means to die for your country. In all of these cases, it serves as an adequate setting.

This park is beautiful in the heart of downtown. Been here severally and enjoyed my quiet time without any incident. There are no tents for the homeless individuals as before in this park.

Participated in the Alice in wonderland scavenger hunt sept 17th 2022, considering tent city was of the very recent past, memorial park wasn't horrible, still waaaay sketchier than 20 years ago...

Memories of 50 years ago. Four Feathers empties, older persons dozing under the trees, sleeping off their $2.00 sherry fixes. Today, the trees are trimmed high so that they offer no privacy, the gazebo/bandstand gone to prove Sudbury doesn't want people using the park, the pool and splash pad look abandoned except for the person sleeping across a shopping trolley.Someone seems to have cut the grass lately, and, in general, a pleasant change after touring the remnants of downtown. A smoke shop, four banks wishing people would stay away so that they can cut back to offering only gated ATM service, a Mall where the most prominent cars parked in front are the ones the Security Force uses, churches turned into businesses to survive, or abandoned to commerce. Looks like J C has sold out to the money lenders. No post office, and even Checque cashing payday loan offices are closed down.A great location for dystopian movies.Perhaps we can convert this eyesore into a parking lot, but who would risk abandoning their car in Beautiful downtown Sudbury.Well named, as it is just a memory of what was once a park where I could let a child play without an armed guard. Jethro Tull, Aqualung, anyone?

It's the best of downtown, avoid it at all costs. Sudbury is a beautiful city. Avoid downtown

Memorial Park
Such a beautiful park but unfortunately it is in a scary part of the city. I don't like bringing my kids near there at all. Sudbury really needs to open shelters and services to help the homeless population of this town.

Nice park to sit and read or walk around and look at the flowers. Just dont mind the vagrants/drunks and they shouldn't usually bother you.

We went looking for a place to eat our takeout and it was riddled with tents. The only available picnic table had a sunny d bottle full of used needles.Be careful and don’t bring kids please.
