Best grocery store in the kootenays. The meat department is better quality at better prices than anywhere in Nelson or Castlegar. They also have a better selection of quality dry goods than anywhere else. It's worth the drive to Trail.

We happened upon Ferraro Foods when passing through Trail and now we are hooked! This specialty grocery store has an incredible selection of cheeses, meats, Italian foods etc. that for a moment, will make you forget you aren't in Italy! We found some melt-in-your-mouth smoked gouda, Maui marinaded pork tenderloin and delicious homemade fruit bars to bring home. The prices are either comparable or lower than in the big cities, so it's a must-go destination when in the Kootenays.

Clean and bright, makes the other two grocery stores look like 2nd world locations. Even the atmosphere is healthy. And a 4th star for the clerk's attitude. Not bored, snooty, or borderline handicap.

Not only does Ferraro’s have the freshest widest selection of groceries but everyone from the owner Danny through all the staff are amazing and so community minded. Recently one of the staff took the time on her break to drive my sister home after she had waited almost 4 hours for a taxi. This going above and beyond to help out deserves a 10 star review. Kudos to the best business in Trail BC
