It wasn’t a good day weather wise but the crew made the best of it and I did manage to get some pictures from the boat. Unfortunately it was to dangerous to land it the island because of high wave. I will try again next year.

We couldn't have chosen a better day to go whale watching! The weather was beautiful. We started out right on time and along the way, the crew pointed out any places of interest for us. It took us quite a while to get out to the site, but when we did we found the whales! It was our first time ever seeing whales up close and it was quite an experience.

My friend and I recently did a whale watching tour and it was incredible! This has been a bucket list item for me for years and touring Grand Manan didn’t disappoint! We saw SO many whales and birds during our tour. The boat was large enough that each guest could have a great view of what was happening in the water. The tour guides were knowledgeable, funny, and entertaining. If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience in GM, this is it!

We were so lucky to go out with the original Captain, Peter, and his first mate Durlan on the last whale watching trip this season. We will miss you guys dearly.

Fabulous fishing boat experience! Unfortunately the weather wasn't favorable the last time I went. We weren't able to go to where the whales were, but we also were not charged as they guarantee whale sightings or it is free. We did see white sided dolphins and some birds. My husband went again 2 days later and had an amazing experience, saw whales, and had an awesome time. I have been before and been very close to the whales. If you are taking children under 5, this would be your best option. Our little guy is 2 and slept in his stroller most of the way. (I believe under 5 is no charge as well)

It was about 3 hours out in the Bay of Fundy on a fishing boat and we did see a few Humpbacks blowing water and breaching and this tour operator does not charge if you don't see any whales.

I went with Sea Watch tours to Machias Island to see the Puffins for a morning boat ride. What a magical experience to be so close to these beautiful birds. The weather was foggy, but once on the island, you and 3or 4 others are led to a “ blind” - a small building with windows you can open on one side. You can see the birds within a few feet. The staff are professional, approachable and knowledgeable. I shall treasure my time with the Puffins. Thank you!

A very disappointing experience. We agreed to head out on a foggy/rough day, after they told us it would still be amazing - what a mistake! I felt taken advantage of. They told us it would be a bumpy ride, and that we wouldn't be able to go ashore (bummer, but cest la vie). Holy bananas, did we ever have a bad time! We couldn't see any seals at all and the only puffins we saw were sitting on rough waters 50' away. I didn't realize until I saw my photos that most of the birds were actually murres. Unfortunately I felt really misled about what we could expect from this experience. My party (amd others) became very ill. I have bruises from hanging on. There were slip and falls. Someone had a panic attack out of fear (I know because I crawled over and checked on them, since no one else was checking), and I saw several people crying at different points. I had to hold my sister tightly so she didn't fall over board while being ill, since we were not provided life vests on such a bumpy ride (no crew checked on her or us).I waited years for this day (I have booked for a few years in a row, and my tour has always been cancelled), so I am beyond let down. We called the company to discuss our experience, and they yelled and swore at us.

incredible experience! would highly recommend! we did puffin & skiff tour today and had a phenomenal experience. our original tour was canceled due to unsafe weather on a Monday, but we were lucky to quickly reschedule for Wednesday and were very thankful for the good weather. captain and crew were very friendly, accommodating, and fun. throughout the tour, we spotted hundreds (thousands??) of puffins flying and diving, porpoise, grey and harbour seals, arctic terns, and more. on the way back, we got a free hot chocolate (props to them for using reusable mugs with lids instead of Styrofoam cups!) which helped to warm us up. be sure to bring sunblock, a snug hat, sunglasses, and warm layers because you WILL need them at sea, even on a hot July day on land. i started with biking shorts, a breathable tank top, and sandals and ended up in my wool sweater, rain jacket as a wind breaker, thick thermal winter leggings, and socks. we would love to come back in the future for a whale tour. congrats to the captain on his retirement this week and thank you again for today!

Unfortunately, we had a day that was completely fogged in. We were given the option to not go on the tour, but we took our chances. No whales to be seen despite the captain's valiant efforts. We saw a couple of seals. As promised, we were not charged for the excursion. No fault of the owner, but perhaps if the tour were cancelled ahead of time we could have spent our day on the island differently. Or perhaps not spent the money and time on the Grand Manan ferry in the first place.A small point. There is no smoking allowed on the boat - except by the captain. Could be a bit off-putting if one is already feeling seasick...
