Bon Chovy Fishing Charters

Great experience with Bon Chovy! My dad and I went on a 5 hour fishing trip for two at 7am. Captain was awesome and very knowledgeable. Set crab traps on the way out to the fishing grounds and then went out to catch some salmon. Had good luck and caught one salmon keeper with a few undersized let go and limited out on Dungeness crab! Captain cleaned the fish and bagged the fish and crabs at the dock. Highly recommend !

Jason Assonitis and his team at Bon Chovy are arguably the best group of guides and fishermen on the West Coast. I have been using Jason for the past 3 years to entertain clients and our staff. Their team always works hard to get you on top of fish. All of the guides have a expert understanding of Tides, Currents, Water Colour, Weather and the areas that produce the most fish at different times of the year. The Boats are always clean and the staff are constantly working to make sure you are comfortable in all weather and water conditions.Their company culture and values insure that every guide follows the most ethical practices when fishing and guiding.

I fished with them 4 times now. My last outing January 18, 2023; We caught 2 nice keeper Kings, safely released 10, (a total of 5 double headers), double header on 2 Pacific Cod, just an exceptional day! The run out to fishing grounds from downtown Vancouver, Granville Island, roughly 35 minutes. Top-notch Charter business.!

Had a blast on the water today, Cory took us out and showed us a good time and a lot of laughs. We saw orcas and he mentioned the chances of catching anything were slim but we all got one! Will be suggesting this to my friends and be coming back soon for sure.

We had a great day out on the sea with Nick. Thanks for all your accommodation and for sharing your knowledge. 4 fish hooked 4 fish landed 4 happy customers! We even got some double hook action and brought home some delicious salmon.

Had a Great time with Demitri while fishing a 10hour day for chinook where we (group of 4) had several hook ups and landed a few chinook and at the end were rewarded with crab andspot prawns. 100% going back for my second charter soon; hopefully to land some ling cod in the summer months. amazing time, great company, great guide.

Our family had a truly wonderful day on the water. Our captain was knowledgeable and efficient getting us out in a jiffy because we arrived late for our charter. He gave us safety information and made sure we were all safe and comfortable before heading to the fishing spot. We had a very successful expedition with each of us catching a big beautiful salmon. At the end our fish was expertly filetted and packed in bags. The kids enjoyed the views and each other's company while we cruised. We would love to do it again.

Had the best time with Dimitri. He knows where the fish and crab are at. First time for our family catching salmon and it was way better than expected. Will definitely be fishing with them again on our next trip!

Jason went above and beyond to accommodate for my family on short notice, and with unusual hours. I can't say enough about his customer service...truly extraordinary!! Highly recommend this company. Thanx Jason
