White Lake Private Resort

Fantastic weekend at White Lake Private Resort. Great place for a big family get together like a reunion. The place had everything. Dan the Rockstar owner was super nice. He took the trouble of bringing a smoker to cook lots of ribs for the party on the house! It was also super fun jamming with him. Hope to come back for more fun!

Excellent time spent up there. 4 years in a row . Pool was incredible and the owner cooked us up some amazing chicken and ribs. Great service and the owners wife is a real cutie see you next year

This review is long overdue. We had our Covid wedding at White Lake Private Resort and rented the property for the weekend for our 50 family and guests. It was a beautiful fun wedding playground in which Dan, the owner, was open to just about anything including moving around the kitchen/bar, the eating area, moving the tv and sound system outside for our wedding dance and even let us move his cooking area...while he was cooking...not my idea!!!Dan provided invaluable advice on activities to entertain every age group and shared props making our day even more beautiful and unique.This is a homey rustic family run resort so don't expect a sterile updated 5 star Caribbean setting or you'll be disappointed. If you're looking for a cosy cottagy getaway this resort has lots to offer. The amenities are superb. A large indoor pool and hot tub for those who prefer that over the beautiful lake. Take advantage of kayaking which is included or rent the jet skis or pontoon boat. There are lots of outdoor and indoor games, a campfire and a playground for children.Our buffet dinner was a delicious spread of chicken, ribs and various sides. Dan did the ribs on his smoker with his special recipe which got us salivating early in the day. The food was plentiful but if you're expecting leftovers be sure to let Dan know.Dan is a fun host we got to know since he stays on the property for all events. He helped with setting up and starting the campfire and entertained us with his bongo drum which we all tried out.From Mike and I thank you Dan and family for making our wedding so special at a time when things were so unsure. We will definitely be back...maybe do a family reunion next time.

Third time staying at this amazing place and I really wish there's a way that I can put 10 stars on my review! Dan, the owner, really sets the bar high! He is an amazing host and has gone over and above to make sure that all of us have a great time at his place! Very highly recommended and we are looking forward to going back again, and again, and again!

In August 2016 we held our wedding at White Lake Private Resort and it was an absolutely perfect venue. We had spent the summer before looking for venues that were close to Ottawa and could sleep a sizeable amount of people while still having that cottage feel. There was nothing comparable to WLPR and we were sold as soon as we saw the lake.White lake was a stunning background to our ceremony and an awesome playground for the 6 days our group was there.Dan, the owner, was great, beyond being a super nice guy, he was extremely available and accommodating and was a great help as we planned the event and during our time at the resort. He catered a seriously delicious BBQ meal for the day of and set of an awesome firework show.With the venue, and Dan’s support we had the exact event we wanted, a beautiful, relaxed event where we got to have quality time with our friends and family.

We rented White Lake Private Resort for our annual family weekend.It was the perfect spot for three generations of our growing family to get together.We were able to lodge 24 adults and 8 kids with room to spare.Dan is extremely accommodating to his guests’ specific needs and responds quickly and efficiently to any requests or questions.The pool and sauna area made our mid-October stay feel like an extension of summer.The rooms, kitchens and common areas were clean, warm and cozy when we got there, and as BBQ enthusiasts we were pleased to find many grilling options at our disposal. White Lake Private Resort is a great place to host large groups at an affordable price. We are sure to visit again!

Great location! Google Maps gives you a weird turn just before you're there, so watch out! The cabins are great, the got tub, indoor pool, and sauna are a very nice addition to the time you spend here. Incredible view, even more incredible at night being able to see the stars and planets.

We had an awesome time at White Lakes Resort. We recommend any group looking for a fun and relaxing getaway to come here. We were treated very well by the owner Dan and the amenities were great to have as well. We will definitely be coming back!

Our group of 7 families stayed here for 3 years in a row and we absolutely loved it! White lake was our escape from reality. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, days on the water and fun on the dock! The communal kitchen and dining area were perfect for our group. Dan was a superb host, always available and very helpful (ask him to start one of your camp fires :) We loved our home away from home, we have so many beautiful pictures and memories. Thanks for everything Dan, we hope to see you again!

What an INCREDIBLE place for our family reunion this summer. From the great reviews we already knew this place would be amazing! Dan is a lovely host and was super accommodating for our big family. He makes sure to give you a rundown of everything in the resort, including troubleshooting for any issues around the cottages. Don’t expect a 5 star tremblant resort, but the coziness and warmth of a rustic cottage home is exactly what this gives. Everything was clean and well prepped. I will say, if you’re not a fan of creepy crawlies then be prepared to knock down some spiderwebs but that’s normal for cottages in the forest. The kayaks and pontoon were great activities for all our family and getting a lakeside view when you wake up in the morning just made the entire place even better. There’s the main campfire in the middle of all the cottages and a second one further to the side of the resort near the water. Not to mention that the stars at nighttime are so beautiful you can just stargaze for hours. You can really tell that Dan is a family man and he’s always available to answer any questions or concerns. Definitely the most memorable cottage trip we’ve had and we’re absolutely going to be coming back!!
