They have a slightly different approach to Vietnamese noodle bowls from other spots in town. If you prefer a stir fried meats over grilled this is your place.I do find that their Nuac Cham is a bit lacking in flavour.#Vietnamese

Unfortunately we had a cockroach in our take out meal this evening which was incredibly off putting especially since I’ve been a customer for 15 years. The only positive was that they immediately refunded us when we called and brought the food back. Please be cautious of this locations cleanliness.

Still takeout only since Covid....time to open up the dining area! Every other restaurant has by now.

Picked up dinner for the family here the other night. Maybe I'm just too used to Wok-In and Mekong, but the flavour and quality of cooking just weren't there for me. The best dish we had was #17 (Yellow curry); I really enjoyed that. However, the Banh Xeo was not nearly as good as Wok-In (really missed the basil flavour, wider veggie variety and the thinner/dryer crepe). Also, the Bo Bun (#6) in both chicken and pork was poor - Mekong is much better for both of those. Saigon Delights' meat was just too dried out and unflavoured. Finally, their spring rolls are the worst I've had in Kingston. Wok-In still has the best, provided they are open and you can place an order! The best thing I can say for Saigon Delights (Gardiner's) is that they were fast and friendly.

Their # 6 with pork and the spring rolls are just phenomenal. Easily the best in town. I've had a few of the curries that weren't special.

Quick great food! The restaurant really doesn't have much in the way of decore and sometimes the service can be a little slow. But the food is always amazing weather you are eating in or taking out. Generous portions and great value for your money. The number 6 (rice noodle bowl with spring rolls and choice of meat) is one of there most popular dishes. I'm also partial to their pho.

Saigon Delights Vietnamese food is getting a great reception in Kingston because it now has three locations. This Gardiner's Road location joins Saigon Delights at Brock & Princess and another at Division & Queen. Kingstonian's must enjoy the generous and tasty items on the menu, reasonable prices, attentive service and the good locations. Will there be a Saigon Delights east?Saigon Delights west took over what was formerly an Italian food restaurant. It's a cozy restaurant and has retained a striking lighted wall insert at the far end of the restaurant and facing the entrance. Ironically, the insert contains some wine bottles but the restaurant doesn't yet have a liquor license!

Nothing special about this meal, everything was just “ok.” The salad rolls were a disappointment, no flavour just three plain shrimp crammed into a roll with a ton of plain noodles. Have had some amazing salad rolls at other Thai places in the city so this was a letdown, paid $8 for some extra noodles basically.
