Gatineau Honda

I came to this dealership ready to buy a Honda pilot which I ended up buying from Lallier Honda a week later due to the poor service I received here.I came into the show room and was greeted by Phillip one of the sales people. He didn’t speak English really well but I didn’t care as I knew what I wanted. All I needed was an appraisal on my current car and was ready to make a deal happen. I had a figure in mind as I had already received a buy out amount from a few dealerships, but had made up my mind to buy a Honda PilotHe went and looked at the car for roughly 5 mins and came back and stated he would offer 17k when I told him I had offers from other dealers to trade it in for 20k. Didn’t even tell my why and didn’t want to negotiate. Ended up walking out and going to lallier Honda the following week and buying from them on the spot.I didn’t ask for a single penny off they MSRP of the car as I know supply chain issues are still going on and discounts are not going to be offered. All I wanted was a fair value for my trade in but he didn’t want to do the deal I drive 15 min to another dealer and made it happen.I will avoid this dealership from now on.

This car dealership signed me up for life insurance even after I declined it, adding over $5000 in debt to my car loan without my knowledge. I only found out about this after my financial adviser at the bank informed me. THIS IS A SHADY DEALER! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM, EVER! I'm currently in the process of filing a complaint with the insurance company and the better business bureau as well as my local consumer protection services! This is called FRAUD! Shame on you.

This is a long one, folks - sit down and grab a snack or two.I don't know where to start with this review. My first big purchase has been a nightmare since signing the contract, and I feel so disappointed.To begin, during negotiation of the vehicle I was interested in (my fiancé and I were both going through the process of purchasing one each), the terms were that I would sign the contract if they would include an auto-start and winter tires on rims, as the season was approaching quickly. They agreed. I was ecstatic that efforts I had put into purchasing a vehicle were paying off - this car has been a vehicle that I wanted since I was a teenager and it was finally becoming a reality. Shortly thereafter, an issue arose which they were not able to find, and took off my auto-start as an attempt at process of elimination. After multiple trips back and forth to the garage and them giving me my car back saying they couldn’t find the issue, my fiancé and I found it and they repaired it. Then came time to book an appointment to get my auto-start re-installed… multiple weeks later, my car was brought back to have it installed but the manner in which it was done has been causing issues with the electronic components in my car, and I’m awaiting my appointment to get that taken off…Now for the most recent issue… when I test drove my car at Gatineau Honda at the end of November, it had its summer tires on. As mentioned previously, the terms were that I would sign the contract if they would include an auto-start and winter tires on rims, to which they agreed. When my car was delivered to me, they had already installed my winter tires. I thought they were kind for putting them on without my asking, silly me. Well, as the time came around where it was legal to put summer tires back on, I brought them to a friend (still tied up in the Gatineau Honda plastic bags) and was sent back a video of the tires saying he could not install them as they were wore down to 2/32. The mechanics at Gatineau Honda did what they were supposed to and wrote this in their initial inspection of the car. However, the company continued to let possible clients, without advising us, test drive this vehicle with these tires, knowing they were not safe. I don’t appreciate my safety and that of my fiancé’s being compromised by a dealership knowingly letting clients test drive an unsafe vehicle. Today, I was provided a different report (more complete) than what was initially given to me concerning the inspection on my car, and this is noted, yet it was not indicated on the one handed to me initially and was not mentioned to me whatsoever throughout the purchasing process.The manager, Keaven, has been avoiding us. each time we try to speak with him, he is in a “meeting”. Today, we came back to which he was still in a “meeting” and were told that he said he would be able to speak with us in an hour… low and behold, 45 minutes later, we were told he couldn’t be found lol

Bluethooth never worked consistently on car accord 2020, now does not work at all after two appointments. Told they can not fix it and go see the dealer who sold it to me and ask why they sold a new car without bluethooth working this place is a joke. I have an accord 2017 and bluethooth works fine with the same c able and phone. Never again honda .

Brutal experience. Salesman would not sell a car without us accepting a lowball on our trade in. Then wouldn’t accept to sell us a car without a trade in altogether. I would not refer this dealership.

! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! BUYER BEWARE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !This dealership will sell you insurance without your knowledge. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. If you do, READ THE CONTRACTS. The salesmen are trained to CON you. I have the manager recorded over the phone confirming that this is exactly what they do and I will be suing this dealership and have filed several complaints with the insurance company (industrial alliance) and the better business bureau as well as consumer protections of Quebec. You will not get away with this and I will make sure you pay back every single penny not just to me, but to every person you've done this to with your FRAUDULENT PRACTICES.

Don't bother with this dealership, go to a different one or make a trip to Montréal even.Tried to sell us a car that was misaligned. They finally did it but said they couldn't get the back in full alignment because it's an older car". No... The suspension is worn. Gave us the car with busted wipers. Paid for winter tires that they gave a "deal" on but they are the cheapest of cheap. When we went to the Volkswagen dealer a few years ago they included at no charge top of the line tires."

Worst customer service ever! They’re dishonest with their customers, all their cars are defective. Bought a Honda Civic 2016 in 2020 has low mileage and two month after I had to replace the brakes, as they didn’t do that when they sold it to me. I barely drove my car and I park it underground, and to this day it has 25,050km only but few days ago when I went for oil change and for service, they noticed that my car is rusted from the bottom and the mechanic told me that he never ever seen a car that is rusted as mine especially it’s 2016, usually cars who have rust like that are very old models from early 2000’s. I don’t recommend anyone to purchase any car from there. Very bad place and worst customer service ever, especially the guy who sold me the car (Pierre) but now I think he left, probably after he sold a couple of defective cars, made his commission and screwed up customers!!!

I recently bought a 2020 Honda civic. I live in Montreal. When I come to see the car first time they told they will inspect the car and get cleaned the car very well and I decided to buy it. I told them I will come to pick up the car one week later and there was a huge time to get the car. One week later I picked up the car I was on the road to Montreal break was shaking crazy. I brought the car next day morning to my friend garage he told me breaks are completely rusted and needs to be changed also he showed to me there is a bubble on right rear tire. He told me it’s not safe on the road. Honda Gatineau delivered the car in bad condition they did nothing for the inspection even their mechanic didn’t do test drive before the delivery.

I wish I could give 0 star. Book an appointment the same day booking time off from work to do a tire alignment. Asked if the job could be done before 330 pm because I needed to pick up my kids from school. Daniel confirmed 1 hr job. Arrived at the location at 1.45pm for a 230pm appointment my car went in at 210. At 4pm I have being told my car was not ready because my dashboard was taking apart for an airbag recall. No one told me about it. We would have reschedule for it perhaps another day. At410 after the first option offered was to leave with my car without dashboard I got a courtesy car that I have being ask to return promptly when my car was ready at 530pm.I live 30 min away . So after picking up the kids at school and dropping them off with a neighbors as my wife was working I ended up going to pick up my car at 6pm to find out the alignment was poorly done as you can see from the photo of my steering wheels in the straight and they didn't even fixed my radio after they removed my battery to change the not asked airbag. I paid for the work full price and I will never go back to this dealership ever again. There is a reason why you can book for a same day appointment when the other dealership in town has 15 days queue. I am embarrassed from what I saw and experience today. Oh btw after I picked up my car I went back and asked the manager in charge to do a test drive so he could see how poorly the job was done but unfortunately due to covid it wasn't possible. But I could leave the car there to get the job done properly the following day. Never ever ever ever again.
